Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 I have just restored from tape

0.9.8 BSOD''d almost immediately and then left me with a corrupt

hdtune now works for me without any problems, although performance is
sucky because it uses unaligned memory buffers.
The thing that''s bugging me at the moment is how to make upgrades from
previous versions work nicely. Part of the problem is that some of the

SLOW I/O performance
...with Xen
4.0 on it
there is mdadm-raid 10 and LVM on top of it that are use by Xen virtual
machine
On host system disk write speed test with dd shows 86,7 MB/s
On Xen we have virutual machine with Win2008R2
PV drivers are installed
So on this Win2008R2-system disk write speed test (performed with hdtune)
shows 4 MB/s
And in short disk read perfomance comparing host to guest systems is
reduced for about 10 times.
Can anybody please explain why disk write/read speed is reduced so much
with Xen?

when installing windows server 2008 Std hvm I get always a blue screen
telling me:
''a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the
allocated time interval''
I googled around and found, that this occured with vista as well:

Config is:

Miserable read performance (factor ~60 too slow)
Hi,
I am trying to migrate my files from a Windows XP Pro box to a new
server running OpenSuSE 10.2/Linux 2.6.18 (x86_64) and Samba 3.0.25b.
The Server is a new Athlon 64 X2 4000+/1GB with two 400GB SATA disks in
a software RAID1 configuration. The share file system is reiserfs on a
350GB RAID1 partition.
I have a small LAN with three PCs on 100MBit Ethernet and a Laptop on
WLAN on a 4 Port
