Kernel/harware question
Hello, I have an IBM Netvista and since kernel 2.6.9-34.0.2, I have not been able to upgrade to the latest kernel. If I do, in about 8 hours, the system becomes sluggish almost unresponsive. Currently I am running 4.6 but with the kernel mentioned above. I think I may have figured out the problem. It seems when I reboot with the new kernel, kudzu runs and wants to configure a different driver

Old harware (intel 82845G card) stopped working after update (centos 6)
Hello. I apology in advance if I am not reporting things correctly, but my knowledge about these things is very limited. I have five Transtec computers, approximately born in July 2005; they have an intel 82845G video card. The last 'yum update' was on January 30, 2014. I did not reboot the machines at that time. I cannot be sure about the date of the 'yum update' preceding

Stable clock with 2.6 and without Digium hardware.
Anybody sucessfully got stable 1000Hz clock without Digium harware and kernel 2.6? We need to consult some peoples how to clock asterisk stable with exactly 1000 Hz without much kernel/drives patching/tweaking. Some test results we made so far: 2.6 with digium card - stable 1000 Hz. 2.6 with ztdummy - uses RTC and the clock is 1024, not 1000. 2.6 with some Realtime kernel patch - provides stable

replacing builtin library files with native dlls
Hi, I want to replace some of the builtin libraries of Wine with native ones to improve performance in some games. The wine documentation refers to a '~/.wine/config' that doesn't exist. From what I've gathered from this mailing list, I should simply move the native dlls I want into the fake c drive (.wine/drive_c/windows) and Wine will use them instead. Is this right or am I
