Hello, I've just compiled 2.4.6 patched for ext3 filesystem and with out incident the conversion went fine. System Specs. Redhat 6.1 (highly hacked on since install on Sep 1999) kernel 2.4.6 gcc 2.95.2 egcs 2.91.66 XFree 4.1.0 I followed the docs, but I have once issue, on hardboot it still fscks the drives. Netgear FA312 Wake-on-Lan problem
...ing down. I have Netgear FA312 NICs in some of my DELL PowerEdge 700 servers and this particular NIC has WOL ability. I cannot turn this off in the BIOS or limit the error responses. When I do a "halt", the server goes only as far as closing the ethernet card and stops, resulting in a hardboot being necessary. I guess this is not an error, as it indicates it is staying awake for WOL, but I don't have it plugged in to the motherboard. EXT3 crash?!

From remove, I could not reboot the box. It hung and totally froze up on anything that needed to access the below filesystem.
