Expect to pay for what you use, either by throwing a whole lot of your own time at it or paying someone to spend that time on your behalf. Unless you?re doing this for educational or professional reasons, where the time spent is paid back handsomely, it?s probably a better trade to pay someone to handle it for you.

update.packages() with R 2.0.0
...y must have done something awfully wrong
when I downloaded and installed R 2.0.0 on a PC
with Windows 98.
You will find below what happens when I try to 'update.packages()'.
I know what the first 'warning message' means.
About the others, I ain't got no clue.
Thank you very handsomely for your wisdom.
And thank you also for all that tremendously
wonderful work.

How to solve long tick labels (axis.text.x)
...labels) to become horizontal, I think I
could do it.
However, how could I make the text in two rows like "1820 -" on the first
row and "30" on the second row?
I am also trying to make another graph, however, the axis.text.x do not
follows any pattern...
let say, "amercian handsome guys", "italian ladys", "smart japanese", etc...
How could I wrap those tick-labels in ggplot???
I have tried to follow the wrapper from

[LLVMdev] FYI -- potential compile time regression on boost spirit with r152737 and/or r152752
Justed wanted to drop folks a note in case they started investigating
issues...
Eric let me know that he was seeing a significant compile time regression
(3x!!!) for O2 builds of Boost spirit on the nightly testers. The really
weird thing is that this was only happening for the ARM targeted build. =/
Very strange, and makes it more likely that there is a smoking gun of "oh,
oops".

OT: good free email service ?
Dear All,
I know it is an oxymoron: good free ... service ;-)
Still, can someone recommend good free email service?
I definitely will not go with google, Microsoft, Apple. I don't have
same strong feeling about yahoo as I have about above, but...
Anyway, thanks in advance for all your advises.

Loops and memory
Hi, this question is meant to be a bit vague, since I'm really not
familiar with all the issues involved. It's also a problem that I
think many would have encountered and would have useful suggestions.
According to MASS, 2nd ed., p. 158, "A major issue is that S is
designed to be able to back out from uncompleted calculations, so
that memory used in intermediate calculations is

Detect Low Quality Calls - Realtime
Hi there,
I support a large number of enterprise users who contractually must connect to
our support center via a 4G VOIP connection.
I simply want to be able to auto detect all poor quality calls in realtme (as
they are being made), play a message and drop the call - without user
intervention. All decent call quality calls will be allowed through - to be
handled by support staff.

several hour long conference calls during non-business hours. All of the

regular analog phones.
