[PATCH net] vhost_net: fix possible infinite loop

[PATCH RFC 08/13] vhost/net: convert to new API: heads->bufs
Convert vhost net to use the new format-agnostic API.
In particular, don't poke at vq internals such as the
heads array.

[RFC PATCH net-next 04/12] vhost_net: split out datacopy logic
Instead of mixing zerocopy and datacopy logics, this patch tries to
split datacopy logic out. This results for a more compact code and
specific optimization could be done on top more easily.

[PATCH net-next 08/11] tun: switch to new type of msg_control
This patch introduces to a new tun/tap specific msg_control:
#define TUN_MSG_UBUF 1
#define TUN_MSG_PTR 2
struct tun_msg_ctl {
int type;
void *ptr;
};
This allows us to pass different kinds of msg_control through
sendmsg(). The first supported type is ubuf (TUN_MSG_UBUF) which will
be used by the existed vhost_net zerocopy code. The second is XDP
buff, which allows vhost_net to

[PATCH net-next 0/3] basic in order support for vhost_net
Hi:
This series implement basic in order feature support for
vhost_net. This feature requires both driver and device to use
descriptors in order which can simplify the implementation and
optimizaton for both side. The series also implement a simple
optimization that avoid read available ring. Test shows 10%
performance improvement.
More optimizations could be done on top.
