OpenSSH and a "handicaped" flavour of UNIX.
Hello!
Is it possible to make the sources a bit more portable?
I'm on QNX4 with Watcom C v10.6B which has no support for int64.
I'd like to be able to compile as many modules as do not depend on
int64. (Currently I do not need SFTP that bad, the SSH is enough for
me)

Applying a loop with rnorm() to eliminate duplicate coordinates in a dataframe object
Dear colleagues
I found duplicate coordinates trying to convert a dataframe object (see the
attached file) into a geodata one ('geoR' package is needed). My dataframe
object consists of 2 columns with UTM geographical coordinates and a 3rd
column with fish densities .
To overcome the handicap I must add a tiny value generated by rnorm() to
each geographical coordinate. And it must be in

3.7.1p1 and PAM
Hi,
I've spent a lot of time digging the last couple days and seen some talk about how now with 3.7.1p1 the PAM challenge response requiring keyboard interactive on the client is "right" and no longer a kludge. I understand that.
Unfortunately I've got a bunch of users who's client (www.ssh.com's client version 3.2.3) doesn't function without a kludged server.

Images not show (or flickering) in old app
I have purchased a simple windows program that is intended for the training of people handicapped with afasia. I need it for my wife, who suffered a stroke recently and she needs this program as part of her rehabilitation programme. We don't run windows, so I tried it using Wine.
The program is written in (some) BASIC and runs on anything from Windows98 and higher. It runs nicely with Wine,

Different IP addresss for SIP and RTP
Hello,
is it possible to set an IP address for RTP different than the one used for
SIP?
I want to use asterisk behind a sip proxy (opensips), but I was thinking if
I could avoid having to run rtpproxy on the sip proxy server and let
asterisk itself take care of it. So that:
Asterisk SIP address : local ip address
Asterisk RTP address : global ip address

SCEV won't be able (by design) to prove no-overflow for
`opaque({VStart,+,1})` but it should still be able to prove no
overflow for `{VStart,+,1}` as usual.

OK. Different mailing lists are set up differently. This list is unusual because your answers only go to the person who replied to you. So if you want the other people on the listserv to see your answer, you should make sure that Speex-dev at xiph.org<mailto:Speex-dev at xiph.org> is added to the TO: field of your outgoing message. Hopefully someone else will also attempt to answer your

I know almost nothing linux, and don't really know that much about Asterisk
(proper).. but I was 'pulled' by this subject and grabbed an

went with it. Newbie doesn't quite describe it, I'm a banker.. this simply
goes to show how easy Asterisk is becoming (I certainly hope this direction

Naturally speaking under wine help needed
[[apologies if this is a dupe. gmane is a bit odd sometimes]]
I need some help on a handicap accessibility project. It's really great for
people like me that naturally speaking is working in wine (mostly). One
important shortcoming is getting our dictated text into linux. Today, in order
to copy text from the wine environment and place it in the Linux environment, we
need to dictate into

PESQ calculated MoS-Values for Speex
Hello,
I just signed up to this mailing-list (note: my first mailing list at all),
because I'm having some problems related to speex.
Let me just introduce you to what I'm doing.
I am writing a short (really short) paper about VoIP techniques, especially
audio codecs for speech.
I pointed out basic technologies behind audio codecs; vector quantization,
lpc, long-term prediction and some

I am using R to do a loess normalisation procedure.
In 1.5.1 I used the following commands to normalise the variable "logratio",
over a 2d surface (defined by coordinates x and y):

[lld] Has anybody ever run into the Solaris linker before?
Recently LLD made it to the front page of HN (yay!):

This comment about the Solaris linker surprised me:

Not all system linkers have this problem. For example, Solaris ld(1) is
perfectly capable of cross-linking any valid ELF file.

Hello!
Because I did not receive any useful answer on this issue, I want to ask now
the THIRD time. It starts to become critical, because users are handicaped by
this stupid problem, so any suggestion is welcome.

Calling dovecot deliver from procmail
I came up with this trick
That is
Since my previous mail server had a bunch of complex procmail recipies
and I am not sure that I can turn them into sieve scripts
I am calling dovecot deliver to drop mail in it's final $DEFAULT
destination.
:0
| /some/path/dovecot/deliver
in order to update the index, control files etc upon delivery time.
So far in my "tests" it works.
But I

in which case there is no libc6.
2. Is there any other way for me to run debian unstable (or lenny, for that
matter) on a DomU?
I opted for etch on the Dom0 for stability, but I did not realize I'd be
handicapping myself with regards to the DomUs.
