fts-solr indexer-worker connects to wrong solr host dovecot-2.2.4
Hello. We're setting up fts solr and want to have the solr server host be set per-user via UserDB. It looks like if a user connects and fts indexes mail, and then another user connects and indexes mail, indexer-worker is connecting to the first user's fts host: User1, hammer at rp-auth-test.com connects, does a SEARCH for the first time, indexer-worker gets UserDB settings and

Valve Hammer Editor Crashes
I run Hammer through Steam, it launches fine, however when I click New it brings up the camera/top/ottom thing then closes. Any ideas? If it makes any difference i'm using Episode One engine. According to the AppDB it works fine.

Getting Valve Hammer to work
Let me start by clarifying something: I a talking about Hammer 4.x not 3.x, there is a huge difference, 3.x is for GoldSrc games like Half-life or COunter-Strike, or Team Fortress Classic. 4.x is for source games like HL2 or CSS. The way I see it what keeps 4.x from working properly, (crashes on opening a map) like 3.x is the fact that Goldsrc, being at least partly based on the quake engine can

[LLVMdev] MC Hammer Test results
Hello everyone At EuroLLVM I presented some testing work we have been doing on improving correctness of the MC Layer for ARM. There seemed to be interest from the community in seeing the results of this test suite. Background ----------- We are using a test suite, called MC Hammer, that compares MC with an ARM in-house implementation of the same functionality. The test space for this suite is

The dangers of static buffers in rsync code
I have been trying for quite a while now to understand why is the flist.c:f_name() function implemented using static buffers. Anyone care to comment? The immediate problem is that any call to f_name overrides the previous content (well, obvious). This, combined with the fact that several function calls are made with the result of f_name(file) results in problems handling hardlinks - and

Samba 3.0.11 hammering NIS
I installed Samba recently on a ClearCase server (Solaris 8) to remove the need for DiskAccess on the Windows clients. I'm having two problems with it, actually. The important one that I'm asking the list about is that Samba is hammering my NIS master with requests for DoMaiN+UseR (and every conceivable combination of cases--note + instead of \, per winbind separator statement in

hammering imap vmail storage
I've configured asterisk 1.4 to use imap storage for voice-mail and while I'm happy with it generally speaking it really seem to hammer the IMAP server. It appear, from the IMAP server logs that it's polling the imap server every *second* for mailbox updates for the users' voice-mail folders. Is it really necessary to do this once a second? Is this tunable anywhere? Thanx, b.

photos on iPhone 6
A bit of a perennial I'm afraid. My wife has filled up her iPhone 6 with photos, and wants them moved onto my computer. I'm running CentOS 7 patched about 30 minutes ago. Needless to say the computer can't see the data on the iPhone, though it does recognise the phone as an iPhone. Any suggestions (well any that don't involve a steam roller, sledge hammer or GBH to the whole of

Does the (NV50) dma engine have trouble with "hammering"?
I'm doing some testing/coding on the ng branches and i've run into some problems, namely that i get PROTECTION_ERRORS after some time. It seems most common when two two dma's happen very close together on the same piece of memory (no hard proof to back this up, just something i noticed). I'm using the dma engine quite heavily and i've pretty much narrowed it down to that.

system lockup when hammering ext3 partition
This might be a bad HD but I thought I'd ask anyway. Running RedHat 8 system; kernel 2.4.18-14. Was having some weird problems on boot so I did: % find / -type f -fstype ext3 | perl -n -e 'print `md5sum $_`;' to torture the disk. It's a 20G Maxtor disk with about 12G free. The system locks up hard (no ping, no capslock light) after a while. Different place every time.

Blocking IP addresses on a per mountpoint level
Thanks. Indeed - but is it it possible to block IP addresses on a per mountpoint level? For example, my user with /mountpointA.ogg does not mind being hammered by connections from 93.184.216.34 [example.com] but my user with /mountpointB.ogg wants to block that IP address. Using iptables I've blocked connections, at a server level, from example.com for my User B but my User A doesn't mind their connection being probed once per minute 24/7/365 by...

Problem with cups and samba
I am using RedHat 7.3, Samba 2.2.5 and Cups 1.1.14 I have the printers setup and browseable from a windows client. I can print to them, and the jobs spool to the directory defined in the smb.conf file, but they never leave the spool directory. Any ideas where to start looking for this? load test docker images?
Has anyone created any docker images I might be able to use on EC2 for load testing an asterisk platform? I started an instance this morning and was about to load sipp and other tools, and then thought surely someone must have done this already. I'd like to hammer a platform we have created with multiple EC2 images until it breaks, to test capacity. Cheers, j
