I tried creating a new partition on a disk. After the partition table was written, I got a message about the kernel still using the old partition table. How do I get whatever system to register the new partition short of rebooting the box?

Hi Folks, Struggling with a new * installation with 2 Rhino R2T1 cards. For some reason, the system is locking up tight when you run ztcfg to configure the card(s). Configuration is asterisk 1.2.14, zaptel 1.2.12, and rhino's 1.05rxt1 drivers. Hi, I was fooling around with the bcmxcp driver and enabling the alarm functions. I hade tested this on some of the ups'es so I was planning to submit it to the svn trunk. But, as the bcmxcp is shared code for serial and usb I got a problem.
