New User Questions - With Belkin USB
...ng blazer_usb) do not need a serial device node in /dev. They use libusb to talk directly to the UPS. (If you can reliably read the UPS status with upsc, then the connectivity problem is not at the driver layer.)
Can you please run this script to get more information about your setup? I think just gzip'ing the report file should be sufficient to make it small enough to attach to an email reply. (Also, for Ubuntu, you will need to change D="/etc/ups" to D="/etc/nut")

Hello!
I have several gzip'ed mbox Files in my home dir and the problem
occurs when I use one of the gzip'ed files as shown mbox in the gui
and want to see one mail of it.
It also happens on the extended search from Horde which then such a

zlib+shlib issue with the official EL4 R binary
Hi,
I have got a curious issue with an R package which uses zlib, against
the official binary here:
http://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/redhat/el4/i386/R-2.4.1-1.rh4AS.i386.rpm
on a Redhat EL4 i686 system.
The problem is that at the end of reading a gzip'ed file within my
C code, gzgetc() returns -1 (no more to read or error) but
gzeof() doesn't return true. Now one can probably jump to conclusion
that this is a zlib problem (or mine), but it is not. Here is
the summary table (my package binary is the same one on the four
2.4.1 cases below...

Compressing sound fonts with FLAC

wine), total time for 8 files:
sflac: 12.81 seconds
sfArk: 13.7 seconds
I stripped out all non-audio data from a few fonts (which doesn't
usually amount to much, 50k in a font with a lot of
preset/instrument/sample overhead information). I managed to save a good
20k by gzipping this data and not making FLAC compress it. Not that much
for all the effort. Although I noticed that FLAC didn't do very well
with the non-audio data (I didn't expect it to), so I do like the idea
of separating this data and gzip/bzip'ing it.
I think I can save more data by concent...

dsync and compressed folders
...ame): Error: Failed to sync mailbox OldMails/2008.gz: Mailbox
isn't a valid mbox file.
Both old and new installations support compressed folder via zlib plugin.
If I'm not wrong dsync doesn't support compressed folder, does it?
And, if so, are there any chances to have dsync support gzip'ed folders in the
(near) future?
Many thanks in advance,

Feedback for Powercom IMD1000 AP with 2.6.0
Hi,
I managed to install 2.6.0 on a Gentoo system and almost everything is
functioning properly with the usbhid-ups driver. I had to add "productid
= 0004" into my ups.conf. For monitoring and administration, I use the
cgi interface.
I have problems with the instant commands tough: The commands seem to
have no effect most of the times (except see next paragraph), despite

can you send back the output of "lsusb -v" and "usbhid-ups -DDD

Hi,
I think my problem will be easy to resolve ... I don't understand why
the ups return the value 2.000000 for all variables ... I've been
looking for 1 hour on google and I can't find similar problem.
Thank you
