Unix-Windows file synchronization problem

cvs problem 3.0 pre-release
...tops with the message: configure error: cannot compute sizeof (long) , 77 See config.log for details (on linux 9, kernel 2.4.20-8, g.c.c 3.2.2) There are quite a number of error messages in the 'config.log' but nothing pointing to this error. Fwiw the engine behind geom_raster needs explicit observation-per-row form for input (with no structural normalization), so conversion to points is perfectly proper here, albeit confusing in context. (It's closer to what graphics devices actually use ultimately, but the expansion is laid out very early in ggplot2 because there's no standard for intermediate forms.) Cheers, Mike On Wed,
