[bodrato@gulp.linux.it: Bug#174609: flac: option "-E, --escape-coding" in man page, but not accepted]
I assume this option was intentionally removed, and the man page should
simply be updated...is this correct?

I'd like to download a complete mail archive so that I can browse
for problems concerning Mulberry. Is this possible, or can I only
get them in monthly gulps?
Cheers,
Terry.

[PATCH]: Some fixes in contrib/cygwin/ssh-host-config
...patch to this list :-(
- Create the Windows NT account "sshd" so that it's deactivated.
So even if the administrator(s) for some reason allow to login
w/o password, nobody can login to the sshd account. This is
e. g. a problem on XP Home machines where login w/o password is
*gulp* a default setting.
- Create the /etc/passwd entry for "sshd" so that the shell is set
to /bin/false instead of /bin/bash.
Thanks,
Corinna

samba4+sssd+centos6
In need of some help here. I hope I haven't trimmed this too much.
As I mentioned before, I have a CentOS 6.3 system using SSSD (only) bound
to the samba4 DC as an LDAP server using the following in sssd.conf:
[domain/SAMBA]
ldap_default_bind_dn = CN=Administrator,CN=Users,DC=...
ldap_default_authtok = <supersecret>
ldap_default_authtok_type = password
...
and everything

failure running an at job from a root preexec
...t the job doesn't get queued.
Am I missing something here. ( Not many points for that one, I clearly AM missing something )
If so, what?
Alternative approaches to this for solving the wider problem would be welcome too.
Hope someone can help. I could do with implementing this before Monday. Gulp.

R compiling on SOLARIS 2.6
We here at HGSI have a consultant doing some statistical work for us.
HGSI bought and installed SAS, but our consultant insists that R and
Rweb is a better solution. I do not know either package so I do not
know, hence we are ditching SAS for R and Rweb. Any comments on this
are welcom.
Now for the real problem. Rweb is very expensive (time wise). The
number of prereqs is way more than I thought

Centos 6.3 - which repos to use?
...elect these? I assume that Centos6 is correct so
why these?
In software sources i have checked;
Centos6-base, Centos6-extras, Centos6-updates
unchecked;
Centos6-contrib, Centos6-media, Centos6-plus
i did check these three and media wouldn't, and plus wanted to suggest
installation kernel 2.6 [gulp]. Each unchecked without installing.
Then we also have the same for 6.0, 6.1, 6.2?

like efax (ok that's in), yumex, pyrenamer, llgal, abiword. at present
i'm not sure which repos to use other than the one's i'...

Migration Of Records From Old Samba Domain To New One
...h, are there some parameters I would be wise to exclude from the import (like, all the timestamps, objectGUID and objectSid, for example)?
I believe that my worst-case-scenario is that I'll need to create a shell script filled with "samba-tool" commands for each user and group, then (gulp) readd all my users to the groups they belonged to.

Sacrilege, but...
...etadata stream, it's just the
usual stuttering and difficulty catching up from transient bandwidth
problems. Metadata seems to make icecast use larger chunks (4k at a
time), which I think is a factor.
My system is debian/sid, with
linux 2.4.7
libc6 2.2.3-7
libc6-dev 2.2.3-7
although I've (gulp) been using shoutcast for a couple of weeks
instead, so the kernel revision in particular may not be accurate. I'm
looking forward to icecast 2. :)

non-ajax data grip types
I am writing an application and I have a number of clients that are
using older browsers (Mac OS 9) and I am staying away from ajax stuff
because of them.
Is there a way to have to have a ''scrolling'' table rather than
pagination without ajax?

User Mode Linux and the CentOS 4.0 Kernel
Does anybody know where I might find a stock standard ready rolled
binary CentOS Kernel (2.6.9-5.0.5.EL) rpm package BUT with the skas mode
uml (user mode linux) patch applied ?
If not I will try and build one myself......gulp.... ;-)
Is there any good howto's out their on how to do this? It all appears
very different with CentOS 4.0 and the 2.6.9-5.0.5.EL.src.rpm.

Success: MySQL Works on 0.99 But Not 1.0alpha
...the 1.0 release regarding MySQL is broken, and is
working in the .99-14 release.
I can finally use my mail server!
:-)
I'll keep an eye out for the 1.x stable release, hopefully it will have
MySQL support working.
Maybe by then I'll be brave enough to get IMAP working and maybe even (
gulp ) LDAP.
Good Luck to all of you!

Console Auto-Completion Lockup
...n type "sh" and hit tab and the
console is locked. In fact, I can type anything (command or error) after
the initial lockup and reconnecting, and it just ignores me and issues a new
"*CLI>" prompt. This includes "restart now", "stop now", etc. Killing
(*gulp*) the main asterisk process and restarting it seems to be the only
way I can correct this.
(There is not a question in this message. It's just meant to be
informative.)

Gulp. I'm pretty(!) sure there was a reason for changing it in the
other direction... [I have a vague recollection of pretty(pretty(x))
!= pretty(x) or something like that] Are we quite sure that it is not
the caller that needs to be a little more lenient in the bounds
checking?

Hi, I''m having a problem with Milter-Sender (v0.62) in the fact that I''m not able to tune the GreyListRejectCount the way that I want to. Namely I''m having a problem setting the GreyListRejectCount to any value higher than a single digit, or at least that''s what I think is happening. Weird problem in PHP 5.1.6/possible bug
I hit a weird problem with the default PHP 5.1.6 on CentoS 5.2.
It seems the default 5.1.6 PHP on CentOS has a bug in the functions
escapeshellargs/escapeshellcmd: it "gulps" any special (non-ASCII)
characters, so that they are missing from the output. I have been assured
that this does not happen on other 5.1.6 or newer on other Linux
distributions. I don't see this behavior with the exact same $LANG setting
(en_US.UTF8) on CentOS 4.
Moreover the behavio...
