application level write ordering guarantees?
Hi, can someone tell me whether applications can expect the write
requests they make to be executed in order? For instance, suppose an
application requests that a file be deleted, and then that another
file be moved to an unrelated place. Will these events always happen
in that order? Or to put it another way, if something unexpected
happens in the meantime (say the computer crashes), is it

Weird(?) HTB3 setup
Hi,
I want to be able to specify actions for different classes of
traffic in any of these four ways, and I''d like to use only
HTB if possible:
1. No guranteed rate, No ceil
2. Guaranteed rate, No ceil
3. No guranteed rate, Ceil specified
4. Guaranteed rate, Ceil specified
For types 2, 3 and 4 there can be several classes of each, with
different rates and ceilings.
4 is ofcourse easy.

Service Level Compliance
Hello all,
We have a slight issue to resolve. We have a client who we are drafting an SLA for the delivery of telephony services using Asterisk. Nothing extraordinary. However, we do need a way to measure our service availability.
We currently use Nagios and Cacti to monitor server availability as well as asterisk and mysql responsiveness, and last, "ping" availability to our

HTB not shaping correctly ? (or bad scripts...)
Hello to everybody,
We have an ADSL link with uplink speed of 530kbit, the goal is to divide the
traffic into three classes,
let say A, B and C.
A data rate of 240kbps must be guaratee to class A.
The remaing rate must be assigned: at least 180kbit to class B and at least
80kbit to class C.
The unused band of class A must be given to class B and C (if needed)
The unused band of class B must be
