application level write ordering guarantees?
Hi, can someone tell me whether applications can expect the write requests they make to be executed in order? For instance, suppose an application requests that a file be deleted, and then that another file be moved to an unrelated place. Will these events always happen in that order? Or to put it another way, if something unexpected happens in the meantime (say the computer crashes), is it

Simply set "default 0" when creating htb and all > unclassified packets will go directly thru. > devik Does "go directly thru" mean that unclassified packets are sent *before* packets belonging to a class with a guarateed rate? Or does it mean that unclassified packets get sent when there is bandwidth to spare (which is what I want) ? And what about lending? In several occasions, some of our SIP providers have had routing (SIP) problems and when we dial any of the DIDs, they would not even hit our box. The call would simply die somewhere in their network or their providers' networks. How can we proactively co...

Hello to everybody, We have an ADSL link with uplink speed of 530kbit, the goal is to divide the traffic into three classes, let say A, B and C. A data rate of 240kbps must be guaratee to class A. The unused band of class A must be given to class B and C (if needed) The unused band of class B must be given to C (if needed) The unused band of class C must be given to B (if needed) We st...
