I downloaded Darwine stable 1.0.1 and installed it. I went to /Applications/Darwine/Wine.bundle/Contents/bin and double-clicked on "wine" Then I went to Terminal and went to the directory for GTA2. ...just discovered wine and have to try it, but I am running into problems that I can't google my way out of. I installed wine-1.1.12 using yum on my quad cpu (Nvidia 9500gt, usb qwerty keyboard and mouse) running fedora10 (2.6.27.12-170.2.5.fc10.x86_64) and as a test, I decided to use GTA2 (download). After the install, I copied mscoree.dll, streamci.dll, dinput.dll, dinput8.dll ddrawex.dll from windows XP and put them in system32, installed the latest directx from microsoft.com and then ran winecfg and set those to native as well as a few others I found on a how-to page...

Hi all, I've checked the archives and can't find anything regarding the above so here goes: Has anyone had any luck getting GTA2 or other games that require DirectX 6.1 support working under Wine so far? I used to keep a Win95 partition on my machine specifically for this game, but recently my second disk died and I need the space for my Linux installation. Any help appreciated. Regards, Ruair?

Hi everybody! I have a little bit of a problem over here. Since recently i enjoy playing GTA2 yet again on my Ubuntu-box using Wine. What is now not as comforting is, that I'm not able to use three keys at a time (e.g. forward+ left + attack). (Or 'more than two' for that matter.) Does anyone of you know how i might fix this issue? it really isn't as fun as it ought to be....
