Grandstream BudgeTone 100
After reading about these $75 SIP phones on this list, I purchased a couple for evaluation. They do work with asterisk - and are good value for money, but as somebody commented: they are not yet perfect. I just wondered if anybody had managed to get either the message-waiting indicator or the conference button to work? Phil Skuse <phil.skuse@vicorp.com>

Experiences with Zultys 4x4 SIP phone?
Anyone had experience with this phone? The interesting features that caught my eye were the RTP encryption, speaker "pager", and built in 4-port ethernet switch. Of course, RTP encryption doesn't exist in * yet, but it might be interesting (I've had people ask about it, but I don't know how serious they are about needing it.) http://www.zip4x4.com/summary_ZIP4x4.htm

I must be alone
Hi everyone (Mark, Jim). I am new to the list but thanks to both Mark and Jim, I have being using "asterisk" since summer 2001. I am just updating my version that was a year old. Yes, I know, I got busy with other things like paying bills so I don't have to sleep with the dog anymore. Anyway, one of the frustrations I have been dealing with (keep in mind that my version of

OT: Multiple SIP phones behind NAT gateway?
Hi, I know this is slightly off topic but I figured the knowlege here is probably the best on the subject.. I want to setup remote offices with 4 to 6 SIP phones (SNOM 200) using ADSL and the internet to connect to the Asterisk box.. These phone will be behind an ADSL router using NAT... I don't want to setup another Asterisk system in each office so IAX is not an option.. I could use

Poll - Would you pay $30-$50 for high quality speech synthesis?
Many of you are familiar with how lousy Festival sounds. AT&T has a product, NaturalVoices, that sounds much better. There are male & female voice fonts for US/UK/Indian English, French, Spanish, and German. I am considering offering a linux-based text-to-speech engine based on the NaturalVoices runtime. An asterisk module would also be provided, making it easy to add natural sounding

Grandstream Quality Survey.... :P
Today class we are going to be talking about the wonderful line of GrandStream products. Or should I say BarbieTone phones? Who else is having MAJOR issues with the grandstream products? How many times have you been told upgrade upgrade upgrade? How many of you have paperweights, granted the phone is light as a feather and couldn't weight papers down in the first place? How about that
