hist failed with unused arguments
Hello,
I urgently need a histogram of the vector geo1$ds1
but:
> hist(geo1$ds1)
Error in hist(geo1$ds1) : unused argument(s) ( ...)
I can use density, summary, boxplot and stem with this vector but not hist ?
Any suggestions ?
Thanks in advance,

Empty cluster / segfault using vanilla kmeans with version 2.15.2
...kmeans or
gives empty clusters using the nstart option with R 15.2.
library(cluster)
kmeans(ruspini,4)
kmeans(ruspini,4,nstart=2)
kmeans(ruspini,4,nstart=4)
kmeans(ruspini,4,nstart=10)
?kmeans
either we got empty always clusters and or, after some further commands
an segfault.

9-STABLE, ZFS, NFS, ggatec - suspected memory leak
....
Workload distribution is not even over the day, from my munin graphs I
can see, that wired grows at time of higher workload. At night with
lower workload (but far from nothing, let's say about 1/3 to 1/2 in
writes, but probably <1/4 in reads from weekday workload) I can barely
see any groth of the wired graph.
So where is my memory going, any ideas what to change?
Kernel is stripped down from GENERIC and then everything I need loaded
as modules.

how to interpolate multidimensional (3D) spatial data
Hello,
I am an archaeologist who wonders wether a
multidimensional (3D) spatial interpolation
is possible in R.
The data consists of measurements in 3D space
with coordinates X-Y-Z and a measured variable
U, that is, U is measured at points located
at X-Y-Z.
e.g. a data structure like the following:
X Y Z U
5.10 5.02 16.03 6.674
5.41 4.32 14.03 6.668
1.72 3.59 12.28

Documentation for /usr/lib/dovecot/imap executable
Dear Dovecot experts,
I'm in the process of setting up dovecot with mbsync as a local
cache for remote IMAP servers. One recipe that I found involves
using the /usr/lib/dovecot/imap (This is with Debian's dovecot
package). For example, in .mbsyncrc I have
IMAPAccount cwg-wf-local
RequireSSL no
Tunnel "/usr/lib/dovecot/imap -o
mail_location=maildir:/home/cwg/.mail/cwg-wf"

Samba & Windows 2000 printer support on AIX
Hello
We have a problem with Samba on AIX and clients running on Windows 2000.
We have implemented printer support as described in the document 'Printing
Support in Samba 2.2.x'.
Environment:
AIX 4.3.3 & AIX 4.2.1 with Samba 2.2.4, 2.2.5, 2.2.6 pre 2, Windows 2000 SP 3.
Problem:
Printer properties is not available to end users (eg. available RAM etc.). When
configuring the printer
