Why this command does not return grob? What is special about grill and
what makes it different from axis, lines, rectangles...
Thanks in advance

interaction term and scatterplot3d
Dear Listers,
I would be interested in representing a trend surface including an
interaction term z = f(x,y,x.y) - eg the type of chart obtained with
persp() or wireframe(), then adding datapoints as a cloud, ideally with
dots which are under the surface in a color, and those who are above in
another color. An other option would be to draw segments between the
dots and the ground of the

network usage gathering
I''ve run into a problem gathering usage for my xen virtual systems. With my
old model I used to gather all network usage via my cisco devices using the
the counters for each port. Each system had it''s own port on the switch, and
I tracked network usage accordingly. Now that I''m using xen for virtual
systems, and multiple vm''s share the same switch port,

911, networks of * servers, etc. (was: VOIP Dialtone?)
OK, that "VOIP dialtone?" thread was getting really out of hand, so
I'll condense my answers into one big ugly message:
1) 911 service. Yes, that is one of three reasons to keep your PSTN
line. The other two reasons are: Inbound calls from local callers
still should work on a POTS line, for now. You can't find VOIP
providers in most area codes, so you'll most

type = 'b' with Grid
Dear all,
I feel like I've been reinventing the wheel with this code (implementing
type = 'b' for Grid graphics),
http://econum.umh.ac.be/rwiki/doku.php?id=tips:graphics-grid:linesandpointsgrob
Has anyone here attempted this with success before? I found suggestions
of overlapping large white points to mask the lines but it's not ideal.
I welcome any comments on the code.

What to do on a national celebration day? Test, test, test!
Today is Swedens national day - since a few years a holiday too.
We don't have a tradition on how to celebrate.
Sweden has not been to war for a very long time, so there's no real
spirit
for the country here - it's been aroundfor such a long time, so
what? :-)
Guess we have to learn from abroad, to get a celebration feeling like

I found that article:

and here's the official homepage of the price:

It's all in German, so I give a summary here:

Spring VON Wrap Up
Having just returned from four days at the VON show in Santa Clara, I
thought I would submit a "highlights" message. I hope others who attended
the show will take the opportunity to add, as there was far more to see than
I can cover on my own.
[VoIP IS BIG]
First, I have to say that VoIP is BIG. It is the buzz technology of the
day. The show was packed, and everybody there was there
