NAT router and off-premise SIP audio problem
...nd any other SIPs connected to the server are a problem... they ring up but no audio is passed in either direction. SIP.CONF has NAT=YES. We presume that a dedicated IP address for the Asterisk server would resolve this but we would like to avoid the extra expense. What are we missing? TIA. Fax to Email with Asterisk and Lucent TNT
...not. I'd also like to setup a print queue and have outbound faxes go to the print queue and eventually out the MAX TNT PRIs. Has anyone setup such a system? hello! first post + context_setup
Greetings all. I''m looking over a ''greenfield'' pasture, and enjoying the TDD(BDD) process of creation. I''m currently rspec''ing a finite state machine (acts_as_state_machine). As such, I need to persist the model through ''specifies'' within the context - from top to bottom. I have bumped into...

PRI boards with g729 capable DSPs
...'m currently running 1.4b3 with a Digium card and 23 g.729 licenses. Is there a way I can get the g.729 codec work off the CPU and onto a DSP? Any T1/PRI cards with onboard codec DSPs? -Matt -- Matthew S. Crocker Vice President Crocker Communications, Inc. Internet Division PO BOX 710 Greenfield, MA 01302-0710 http://www.crocker.com

Asterisk and multicore processors
...gsm. No extensions actually terminate on the tandem, they're all switched to other boxes (highly distributed). On the PRI card, one goes to Embarq, the PSTN and two go to a legacy SX-200 which is being phased out. The fourth is a connection to an Adtran TSU-600 channel bank. Given this is a greenfield spec and we're building it from scratch, I'm looking at SuperMicro and their motherboards. Architecturally, I see the tandem as being CPU bound, if anything. Backbone is GigE connected to the server so I/O there isn't an issue and we aren't doing voicemail on it so it isn't di...

Matching multiple destination IPs in the ingress queue.
I''ve been trying to match multiple public IPs in an ingress qdisc. The idea is to allow these specific IPs and aggregate value of 256 kbits incoming to the interface. Can anyone tell me how this can be effectively done if at all possible with tc? USB key problems on enterprise systems
Just came up with some interesting (read: frustrating) problems on RHEL3 and RHEL4 today at work, and I've confirmed one of the problems on my up-to-date CentOS4 system at home. I was forced into releasing some RHEL3 systems to replace our aging RH9 systems without time for adequate testing, and that leads to problems like these. On our legacy RH9 systems, mounting a USB key is no problem,

We''re making progress in integrating RoR into our existing PHP setup (already a couple of aspect of the backend system are pure Rails) with a view to move as much code over to Rails as we can and use Rails for future greenfield development.
