I need to build a demo box with 2 ports FXO and use the new 4 Port FXS card as well as connect a SIP phone. User's smbd processes don't get killed
Hi, all. Last saturday, we've done a cutover for Samba 2.0.5a to be our new fileserver. All is going well, except for two network users that make me reboot the server. What happens is as follows: * user logs on onto samba server; * user opens and closes files, etc, OK until in one of these operations his/her machine hangs; * user reboots his/her machine to log on again. Et voil?! I could save the file

Samba + e2compr = problems?
Hello, everybody. Casually I've got the chanceto reproduce at my workstation the problem that prevented us to change from Novell 4.11 to Samba on RH6.0. AFAIK, the problem is loosely related to the one described in these lists where one get a bunch of smbd daemons running, while certain files remain locked and can be only unlocked by means of a reboot of the system. I could verify details
