Asterisk International Carrier Buildout - Create our own International networks for BEST pricing!
Asterisk Users,
I am reposting to the Asterisk-Users list what I saw
on the Asterisk-Biz list by Mr. Jeff Grammer,
GOD BLESS HIM!
I am in the Hamptons today, trying to whew a client,
and he took a look at my Level3 Partner pricing,
and laughed, as his rates were better than mine!!!
To top that off, I am colocated within the Level3
datacenter, he has no computers, and gets better
rates.
So,

Trouble getting Ices/Icecast2 to stream
I'm rather new to this. I just set up Icecast and Ices using source from
CVS downloaded yesterday (3-20-2003). The box is running RedHat 8.0 with
all the required RPMs to compile. Here's my trouble:
I have Ices running in live mode, with it connecting correctly to the
Icecast server on port 8000 (which is only bound to 127.0.0.1). I'm
using Winamp on the client end connecting to port

Naming Conventions
So, RoR is better at grammer than I. Well so is my nine year old.
If I have a table named "people_type" will Rails see this as singular
because of the _type or will it consider it the plural of "person_type"
?
Is there a link to Rails that lists what words it knows, or what words
not to use in table design etc.
Kindest regards.

Trouble getting Ices/Icecast2 to stream
Mike / Karl -
I've tried two different ways of setting up the "stream". In one URL, I
named the file directly (http://foo.bar.org:8001/stream.ogg), and in the
second, I made a stream.m3u file containing the afore mentioned http
statement. Neither worked in Winamp. I had downloaded version 3 of
WinAmp, so I uninstalled that, and went out and got the JOrbis (Java)
player and the

[LLVMdev] ANTLR?
I've done extensive research on the subject and if you want to parse ALL of
C++, there are only two options, g++ or the Edison Design Group C++
front-end. Both of these have projects designed to make this easier LLVM
(as you know) and Rose (http://www.rosecompiler.org/), which works with the
EDG compiler. AspectC++, OpenC++, Antler, TLX, all work with only a portion
of the grammer.

NumbersToWords
= numbersToWords - convert your integers and floats to english or
japaneese words,or translate it into american currency
- This plugin was created from a solution to the ruby quiz (english
numbers) by Matthew D Moss. I modified the code to work as a rails
plugin and added the to_dollars method.
- the to_dollars method will work with integers and floats
- the to_english and to_japaneese methods

HTTP Parser (Regal)

requests using a Regal generated parser. I downloaded the source but do

Conversion from Centos 5 to Centos 7 & mailx changes
Stephen and Kenneth,
Thank you very much for your help.
I tried 'MAILRC=/dev/nul' which I put in /etc/mail.rc as
'set MAILRC=/dev/null'
But I did not identify that this changed any behavior.
The link below was very helpful Stephen thank you for your kindness in digging this out for
me.

No that is meant to be a shell environment variable so that it does not try
to read /etc/mail.rc.. if you have it in

Vorbis streams on Windows Media Player
I would be in the same ballpark as you, Ross. We are looking at
icecast2/ices as a replacement for our RealAudio streams, as the
licenses we have will expire VERY soon, and we frankly don't have the
money to go dump on new ones. We're looking at serving literally
thousands of listeners, most of which have RealPlayer installed at home
or at work, but have never heard or played with WinAmp,

You mean write C++ code that calls the LLVM library ?
I have a mild C++ allergy that I don't wish to aggravate.

I have no idea what this is supposed to mean: "creates gasey code
feeling..especially in the backend.."
However, if there is serious interest, many people would like an easy to
use C wrapper arou...

Vorbis streams on Windows Media Player
I was under the impression that Tobias's Direct Show filters would allow
Windows Media player to play Ogg Vorbis streams, but after testing it
here, apparently it doesn't. Does anyone know if there is anyway of
making WMP play vorbis streams?
The company I'm involved with who will be creating thousands of internet
stations will most likely need WMP to play the streams, since it is

mongrel parser for server response
I''m taking a stab at creating a parser to parse the server response
using the mongrel parser as a base. Never having used a parser like
Ragel before in my life, I''d like some input on the following for
parsing an http server response. This is part of my modified version
of http11_parser.rl. In particular what would be better than using
''any'' to match the

Adding Bi-gram in the QueryParser and Object.
Hi all,
I have jotted down a plan for how to handle or add Bi-gram in Query Object
though QueryParser.
PFA as a sequence diagram which depicts what i got to know about how parser
works and query is build from tokens provided by the lexer.I
have highlighted some area in blue where i think there is possibility of
having bi-grams.While Integrating bi-gram in the Parser ,Query our aim is
