trivial grammatical patch
Hi.
Debug message "No RSA1 key file blah" misled me for a few seconds earlier
today. The message is meaning to say "key file blah is not an RSA1 key
file", whereas I interpreted it to mean "key file blah does not exist".
Trivial patch against 2.9.9p2's authfile.c:

[LLVMdev] link time optimization doc
Devang,
Wonderful! Thanks for explaining this, it really helps.
I took the liberty of fixing a few grammatical errors and some HTML
usage/style things. No significant change to the content was made.

R issue with unequal large data frames with multiple columns
I'm a bit of an amateur R programmer. I can do simple R scenarios but my
handle on complex grammatical issues isn't steady.
I have 12 CSV files that I've read into dataframes. Each has 8 columns and
over 2000000 rows. Each dataframe has data associated by time component
and a date component in the format of:
X.DATE and then X.TIME
X.DATE is in the format of MMDDYYYY and X.TIME is form...

[LLVMdev] AsmParser is not robust
...eferred over a seemingly unrelated assert.
Please file a bug, it certainly should be "robust". Switching it to a
hand written parser is intended to improve the robustness, not reduce
it. In any case, this doesn't have anything to do with the parser, it
sounds like the code is grammatically correct but semantically invalid.

AWS ami are out of date / support restricted instance subset
Hi all,
the current AWS Marketplace CentOS7 AMIs (1602) are restricted to an
outdated subset of EC2 instance types (at least m4.16xlarge and x1.*
are missing). The AMIs are also based on 7.2.1511, which is now quite
outdated.
Are there any concrete plans to update the AMIs? Is this due to a lack
of time, or are there other roadblocks that prevent an update?
Cheers,
Kad

Trivial patch for merge.Rd
Hi all,
After replying to r-help earlier today on the merge() related thread, I noted a trivial grammatical error in the description for the 'suffixes' argument in it's help file.
A patch against the current SVN trunk version of merge.Rd in ..library/base/man is attached and pasted here:

Unnecessary apostrophe in English base::summary() NA count output?
Hello, this is quite a minor issue but as summary() is in all likelihood
one of the most widely used functions in R I decided to email this list.
When producing a count of missing values, summary() in English generates an
unnecessary and grammatically incorrect apostrophe (NA's rather than NAs)
in its table header. For example:
> summary(c(1,2,NA,3,4,NA))
Min. 1st Qu. Median Mean 3rd Qu. Max. NA's
1.00 1.75 2.50 2.50 3.25 4.00 2
The issue can be traced to this file:

Asterisk Language Status
...our experience
and impression?
I heard a few comments during AstriDevCon, that some of the languages are
not quite right; some said their language was understandable, but...
Would anyone be willing to share with me, the problems they have with
various translations?
Do they pronounce numbers in a grammatically correct fashion? Any issues
with gender/tense/whatever?
Are the sound sets in other languages easily findable and downloadable?
I see a good selection on

app_voicemail for spanish
Guys, anybody has a 1.2.x compatible app_voicemail patched for Spanish
prompts that can handle for example, instead of saying "trabajo mensjes"
would say "mensajes de trabajo o mensajes trabajo" (inverse)? Also can
handle singular and plural (mensaje vs. mensajes)?

[LLVMdev] AsmParser is not robust
Hello all,
My partner was just debugging a project that had tried to call a function without arguments in the code but the declaration wasn't declared with a void parameter list. It failed with an assertion that something was trying to ++ past the end of an ilist.
I seem to remember Chris Lattner saying when he made the hand written AsmParser that it wasn't intended to be very robust

rails internals?
Is there a list for discussing Rails internals or is that kind of one
of those jealously guarded secret things?
Also, I seem to be being a bit of a prat today, but if you read this closely:
http://www.rubyonrails.org/images/headlines/community.gif
Bit of a grammatical error there. (Sorry!)
