Hi, I am running an R script from the command line by calling: > R --vanilla < test.R My terminal is part of the Xwin (Xterm) and there is a plot(1:10) command in the test.R script. Hello list, I have encountered a problem trying to save graphs using the R-graphics menu: File|Save as. The menu suggests that files may be saved as either Metafile, Postscript, pdf, png, bmp, jpeg. Hello again. Working to put Centos 5 on my old Toshiba Portege 3490ct (256Mb memory). PCMCIA CDrom and Lan card. Using 'linux askmethod' to be able to install off of my FTP server (have done 4 PC installs so far off that server successfully) It's video card is: S3 86C270-294 Savage IX/MV After recognizing the video card I get the message about no graphical install available.

Hi netters, Now I'm connecting from my local windows machine to a remote linux machine and launch R out there using SSH. When I tried to create grahics, like using plot or heatmap, I cannot see the output. Maybe a new R window displaying the graphics has popped out in the remote machine? Till now ive been content simply setting bios's to CSM mode and doing my thing.... Ive had another go at EFI PXE booting and can now get the menus and grahics from syslinux working, but I cannot get any of my images to run. They start to load and the system reboots. I think im missing something basic here, do my operating systems need a signature registered on the computers? or should syslinux simply pass control to the kernel? any advice?

Hi Folks, I can't change the resolution in wine using ubuntu 8.04. The resolution is stuck on 800x600 and nothing I do gets this up to 1024x768. I've tried changing the grahics setting in wine configuration, no joy, it reverts back to the default. A recent post had what seemed to be the same problem and the solution "Gedit ~/.wine/user.reg. I am trying to obtain optimum gain settings for a bank of analog lines connected to a channel bank. My telco has provided a 'Type 102' test line to use for incoming level calibration.
