problems trying to reproduce structural equation model using the sem package
Hello,
I've been unsuccessfully trying to reproduce a sem from Grace et al.
(2010) published in Ecological Monographs:
http://www.esajournals.org/doi/pdf/10.1890/09-0464.1
The model in question is presented in Figure 8, page 81. The errors
that I've been getting are:
1. Using a correlation matrix:
res.grace <- sem(grace.model, S = grace, N = 190)
Warning message:

Cannot set user quotas
Hello, I am having some trouble getting quota's to work. When I try to
set the quota for a user, it does not show up when I run repquota. I
am doing this on a Redhat (RHEL5) machine (I assume it is the same on
Centos). I think I am missing a step, but this is what I am doing:
(1) I add usrquota to the /etc/fstab file, then reboot
LABEL=/home /home ext3 defaults,usrquota 1 2

usually "staff" is payed. Instead, we are the group of core volunteers.
Questions like these belong to the "R-help" mailing list where there's a
much larger group of volunteers willing to help out (as time permits).

Can't restart asterisk from script
I'm running * 1.4 and can successfully restart asterisk from the command
line with:
/usr/sbin/asterisk -r -x "restart gracefully"
However, I have a cron job that tries to restart asterisk and gets this
error:
No such command 'restart gracefully' (type 'help restart gracefully' for
other possible commands)
Can anyone think of why this is happening?
Thanks

If you think you need the 'winbind enum' lines so that 'getent' works,
then think again ;-)
If you do not have the 'winbind enum 'lines 'getent passwd username'
will still work.
'getent passwd'

[OT?] winbind e quota...
As was used to (in Samba NT/LDAP), i've enabled quota on /homes, and
homes are exported (as homedrive) for users.
Editing quotas (with edquota) works as expected, and in windows explorer
users get quota correctly reported, but a simple:
repquota -a
return nothing:

libvirt guests graceful shutdown upon hosts powerdown/reboot
hi everybody
by an assumption I expected VM guests to be shut down/off
gracefully when the host is being powered down or rebooted,
but this does not seem to be the case so I wonder..
Am I missing some libvirt components/packages ?
Or my assumption is incorrect and guests have to be shutdown
manually?
it's all SL 7 and guest are M$

Graceful exit from fortran.
Is there a way to exit gracefully from dynamically loaded Fortran,
(several layers down), if an error condition is detected?
I.e. suppose I'm within a subroutine called by a subroutine, ...,
called by .Fortran(); I want to give up gracefully if an error
condition is detected.
If I say something like
if(x .gt. 42.d0) stop
then indeed everything stops, i.e. R falls over. I'd

degrading gracefully - how to tell if JS is enabled?
Is there a RoR best practice wrt determing in a visitor''s browser has JS disabled? Is there even a way to find out? I''ve got a couple of pages in my app that are not going to degrade gracefully at all. I really need to point a visitor who has JS disabled down a seperate path. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bill

IIUP, the only way to keep I/O running is to gracefully exiting glusterfsd.

Graceful shutdown of a virtual domain
Hi All,
I''ve been looking through the code and list archives but haven''t found
this yet... From dom0, how do you cause a virtual domain to gracefully
shutdown? It seems like the machinery is there somewhere, because the
hypervisor can do it to dom0...
For reference, in UML you do this by putting this in /etc/inittab:
ca:12345:ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -h now
...and then

KEX graceful failure
Dear all,
I am currently implementing an experimental key exchange (KEX) algorithm.
Unlike current algorithms like DH, mine needs to be able to fail gracefully,
and in case of failure, continue with whatever algorithm would have been
negotiated if mine was not selected.
My strategy for graceful failure is to remove my KEX algorithm from
myproposal[KEX_DEFAULT_KEX] and to initiate a new key

Graceful Asterisk Shutdown
My Gurus!
I'm still playing with asterisk in the lab here. There
is a feature that I need in a production asterisk
system. I was wondering if it already exists in
asterisk.
When we want to shutdown a production asterisk system,
we would like the shutdown to happen after there are
no
more calls being processed. In other words, a shutdown
command that does the following:
- block asterisk
