barplot with varaible-width bars
...lue in the width statement of this last call of barplot, like what I think could be done with the mulbar function of SPlus. Can I do this with barplot itself, or is this something for which lattice or ggplot 2 is needed? And, if so, what would typical code look like?
Thanks for your help.

Maintaining referental Integrity
If I have two models that are in a one-to-one relationship in Ruby on
Rails,
and I wish to delete a record.
How do I make sure I will delete all the related data from both tables?
Is there a simple elegant Ruby way to do this?
Thank you for your time in advance,
Mitch

dvd+rw+r for FreeBSD

which is for Linux, says that you have to use scsi

device? (Is it different from the DRU-500A?) If not,
how can I work around the scsi issue in FreeBSD?
I'm using FreeBSD 4.8-Stable (stable as of a couple of

dvd+rw+r for FreeBSD -- Progress but no success
That's where I first went for information. I've
successfully burned a CD-R using cdrecord, as opposed
to burncd, which I would normally use for ide burners.
I will check on the firmware.
Thanks,

Clustered data with Design package--bootcov() vs. robcov()
Hi,
I am trying to figure out exactly what the bootcov() function in the Design
package is doing within the context of clustered data. From reading the
documentation/source code it appears that using bootcov() with the cluster
argument constructs standard errors by resampling whole clusters of
observations with replacement rather than resampling individual
observations. Is that right, and is

How to become your IP range...
...192.168.6.37 - also very random, but allowable...
My servers lan side is eth1, on detecting a packets running around with
the ip range above, it will then assign a new ip range to it self so
that the laptop will function.
Has anyone heard of an OSS system that will do this?
