multipl disk failures cause zpool hang
Hi, There seems to be a few threads about zpool hang, do we have a workaround to resolve the hang issue without rebooting ? In my case, I have a pool with disks from external LUNs via a fiber cable. When the cable is unplugged while there is IO in the pool, All zpool related command hang (zpool status, zpool list, etc.), put the cable back does not solve the problem. Eventually, I

arc_no_grow is set to 1 and never set back to 0
Hello. I have a Solaris 11/11 x86 box (which I migrated from SolEx 11/10 a couple of weeks ago). Without no obvious reason (at least for me), after an uptime of 1 to 2 days (observed 3 times now) Solaris sets arc_no_grow to 1 and then never sets it back to 0. ARC is being shrunk to less than 1 GB -- needless to say that performance is terrible. There is not much load on this system. Memory

very slow boot: stuck at mounting zfs filesystems
Hello list, I''m having trouble with a server holding a lot of data. After a few months of uptime, it is currently rebooting from a lockup (reason unknown so far) but it is taking hours to boot up again. The boot process is stuck at the stage where it says: mounting zfs filesystems (1/5) the machine responds to pings and keystrokes. I can see disk activity; the disk leds blink one after

zpool import panics
Hi, I just had my Dell R610 reboot with a kernel panic when I threw a couple of zfs clone commands in the terminal at it. Now, after the system had rebooted zfs will not import my pool anylonger and instead the kernel will panic again. I have had the same symptom on my other host, for which this one is basically the backup, so this one is my last line if defense. I tried to run zdb -e
