I tried to install alsa 1.0.19 on centos 5.3 64 - did not work - compile errors. I need to re-install alsa-lib and alsa-util . I dont want to do rpm -e first on those packages as dependcy is crazy. Expanding on Jack's note. In a default lame install, the lame library in in /usr/local/lib which is not in the 'trusted' library directories, hence why the linker/loader can't find it. What you need to do to fix it (as root), is open up /etc/ld.so.conf and add /usr/local/lib to the file. This file just contains various paths that will be searched in addition to /usr/lib & /lib

HI, Anytime I try to send emails with actionmailer I get a stack level too deep SystemStackError. There were several other posts related to stack overflows, but none of them invovled actionmailer.
