...ook elsewhere for your problem. libshout is quite well tested and every time someone has thought it was skipping, it turned out to be NTP chaning their clock or a slow harddrive or something similar. What kidn of files are you streaming? Have you ran them through mp3check and mp3_check? Is load goign up when it starts skipping? How about disk usage? Can you monitor bandwidth and make sure sporadic spurts aren't the problem? Is it better if you drastically increase your buffer size? jack. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.i...

Confusion on call forwarding
I'm confused. What does Asterisk do when it gets a 302 with a new number to forward to? Is there anything I have to do in the dialplan to make this work? I can't find any clear documentation on this issue.

Including another helper
I need to include another helper module apart from the normal two (ApplicationHelper and [controllername]Helper). The inclusion needs to be dynamic and based on external parameters (ie what helper that get included differ from request to request). Is it possible? How? /Marcus

...hatever. I just want to stream my MP3s. > What kidn of files are you streaming? MP3s and nothing but. > Have you ran them through mp3check and mp3_check? Yep. Found a couple with a few bad frames and deleted them. Other than that, nothing worse than a missing ID3 tag or two. > Is load goign up when it starts skipping? Nope. Load remains at 0.0, although if ices starts resyncing, load spikes to 7.5 or higher. The skipping and resyncing are not connected, as far as I can tell. > How about disk usage? I've got about a gig and a half or so free. And as far as hard drive bottlene...

Napster: Success! Almost. Guests group problem
So I was somehow able to successfully install Internet Explorer 6, Windows Media Player 10, and even Napster 4.5. Napster kept saying that WMP 10 was not installed, but eventually I was able to make the error go away (I'm not really sure how). But now when I start Napster I'm getting the following message: "You cannot play protected content if you are part of the Guests group. Please

Icecast2 Server Load tests
Hello: Ed Zaleski ran some remarkable and very impressive load tests on icecast reported on www.icecast.org (Home page). What wasn't mentioned in the test specifications was the type of internet line that was used which totally influences bandwidth and subesequent overall load characteristics. Questions: 1. Was it a T1 line, Verizon FIOS, or cable internet, or what? 2. What were the

Samba and NT4-sp5 problems ??
We were using Samba 2.0.2 and Windows NT4-sp3 quite happily.. however someone wants to use sp5 (get me a large caliber rifle, PLEASE!!), and during some testing we noticed what 'looks like' file corruption problems. Files do not seem to get written to the samba shares properly/completely... I say looks like, because copying the files manually seems to be fine, but when done within an app,

Expanding on Jack's note. In a default lame install, the lame library in in /usr/local/lib which is not in the 'trusted' library directories, hence why the linker/loader can't find it. What you need to do to fix it (as root), is open up /etc/ld.so.conf and add /usr/local/lib to the file. This file just contains various paths that will be searched in addition to /usr/lib & /lib

Deprecating ADDC/ADDE/SUBC/SUBE
These opcodes have been deprecated about a year ago, but still in use in various backend. In https://reviews.llvm.org/D47422 I would like to change the behavior of the backend to not enable the use of these opcodes by default. The opcode remains usable by any backend that wish to use them, but that should limit the situation where newer backend just use them as they are enabled by default. This

Stack level too deep with actionmailer
HI, Anytime I try to send emails with actionmailer I get a stack level too deep SystemStackError. There were several other posts related to stack overflows, but none of them invovled actionmailer. I''m using some plugins acts_as_taggable, acts_as_ferret, rails 1.1.4, actionmailer 1.2.3. Here is my full stack trace. Any ideas?
