Gnash 0.8.2 rpm for CentOS 4?
Does anyone know if there is a Gnash rpm available for CentOS 4?
I have tried compiling it myself but run into dependency problems.
I looked here
http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/gnash/
but there is only 0.8.2 for el5 not el4.

[LLVMdev] link-error: different visibilities
When I use llvm-2.5 to compile gnash which is a GNU flash movie player, some
errors appeared as follow:

'_ZNKSt6vectorIN5gnash8geometry7Range2dIfEESaIS3_EE4sizeEv': symbols have

Because the name is mangled, I can't find the exact position of

gnash plug-in for firefox on CentOS 6
How, if at all, should I replace the flash
plug-in for firefox running on CentOS 6?
I've read that gnash is a prospect,
but it seems to not be in any of my repositories.

Still can't figure out ACL issues
...Indicates the ACL structure is is not valid'.
Followed, of course, by the unwinding call stack.
4) smbclient //localhost/netlogon -UAdministrator -c 'ls' nets me the
message:
'Domain=[ozco] os=[unix] Server=[Samba 4.3.1]
NT_STATUS_INVALID_ACL listing \*'
After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I did a setfacl.
Now, 'samba-tool gpo aclcheck' returns "uncaught exception -
(-1073741790 'access denied')".
I really would appreciate any help you can offer!

Copy data from XP to same app under Wine??
With snarls and curses and gnashing of teeth, I still keep one
laptop and one dual-bootable PC hard drive with XPProSP2 installed.
(Everything else is Fedora 10.)
I do so purely for one class of apps, proprietary map software.
Wine can now install and run at least one, and the most
important, of the four suites of such apps t...

if else lop
I am trying to use if...else loop and have included a code snippet which I
might like to expand.
Maybe you could steer me in the right direction.

OpenLDAP setup and bootstraping in CentOS 6
I'm having trouble getting openldap through its initial setup.
I created a /etc/openldap/slap.conf file with a default rootdn and rootpw, and they didn't seem to take effect. After much wailing and gnashing of teeth I found that if there is a config directory at /etc/openldap/slapd.d, it will ignore slapd.conf. I can't figure out how to translate slapd.conf into the (new?) standard of slapd.d because all the examples I can find still use slapd.conf.
Am I better off just deleting (or renaming) sl...

mozilla-plugin: getting the url of the current web page
Hi,
is there a way to get the current page url from the mozilla plugin?
I've tried to port the gnash implementation
(plugin.cpp nsPluginInstance::getCurrentPageURL()) but firefox dies
because of missing symbols (NPN_GetValue), I see there's some tricks on
reimplementig the npapi but can't understand it.
Any hint?
thanks,
riccardo

Filter Ordering in Edge Rails (Rev 7143)
Filter chaining appears to behave in differently than Rails 1.2.x. It
seems that I''m getting a lot of errors along the lines of:
ActionController::ActionControllerError: filter

@filter=#<ActionController::Filters::ClassMethods::SymbolFilter:

There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth when these changes rolled
into Fedora. After a while, I got used to it and now it seems normal.
Plus, if you type "yum update" it responds "what your really should type
is dnf update, but I'll do it for you anyway".

thumbs up or down on ext3 with md?
I've read through the archives and it looks like people are using ext3
with software RAID with at least some success. I just want to confirm
that it works properly. If I convert my md RAID 0 to ext3, should I
expect
A) A fast journalled filesystem, or
B) Wailing and gnashing of teeth
My RAID currently does not use persistant superblocks, because I created
it many moons ago under the old raidtools. Should I convert it to the new
style before making it ext3, or is is not relevant?

[LLVMdev] tblgen and sign-extended constants too large for type
Allow me to rephrase my question: How much agony and gnashing of
teeth will I cause if I commit this patch to tblgen (fully tested and
changes to DAGISelEmitter.cpp also committed)?
