compiz: No GLXFBConfig for default depth, this isn't going to work.
Hi
Since a few days compiz fails to start on my system. It bails out with
the message:
compiz: No GLXFBConfig for default depth, this isn't going to work.
compiz: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz: No manageable screens found on display :0.0
I'm using Ubuntu Edgy with the beta nvidia drivers and a recent git
checkout of compiz.
I read somewhere, that this error could be related to mesa

(no subject)
Hi,
I've been trying to get the new i915tex DRI module to work with the new DRM
memory manager and finally succeeded. Unfortunately it seems to break compiz
which errors out complaining that there are no GLXFBConfigs for the default
depth.
I was able to trace the problem to the following block of code in
src/screen.c, starting on line 1897:
if (s->fbo)
{
(*s->getFBConfigAttrib) (dpy,
fbConfigs[j],
GLX_BIND_TO_MIPMAP_TEXTURE_EXT,
&value);
if (value < mipmap)
continue;

The GLX code doesn't use the red/green/blueChannelMasks for proper
matching of formats, and the server doesn't even transmit those masks to
the client in the case of GLX. So whatever 10 bit format comes first
will win when building the assignment to GLXFBConfigs.
I looked at the code and how it behaves. In practice Intel gfx works
because it's a classic DRI driver with its own method of building the
DRIconfig's, and it only exposes the BGR101010 formats, so no danger of
mixups. AMD's gallium drivers expose both BGR and RGB ordered 10 bit

Ben and I have switched the code to using a 256-based LUT for Kepler+,
and I've also written a patch to cause the addfb ioctl to use the

Compiz porting plan, for help
David & All,
As you might have heard, Intel recently introduced a new low-power device called a Mobile Internet Device (MID). We're working in Intel's Open source Technology Center on the Linux Desktop UI. Given the small screen we're planning on using a stack-based window manager where each application runs full-screen (think Matchbox). We think it would be very cool to get a

Listmates,
I have a fresh openSuSE 10.3 install with all updates installed, the
video card is a MSI nVidia 8600GT (pci-e 16). After following the
openSuSE nVidia install and the Compiz Fusion install (and after log

Dawn of War - Dark Crusade, graphics problem
Hello,
I have some graphics problems with Dark Crusade. I have tested both windowed and fullscreen with lowest settings, it makes no difference. It plays fine in highest settings in Windows, so my graphics card is not the problem. Maybe the drivers for linux is crappy or something, but i havent experienced anything like this before in any other game.
