Speeding up :dependent => :destroy
I have a tree of models that represent a book. Looks like this:
book
sections
documents
paragraphs
index entries
glossary entries
footnotes
index entries
glossary entries
These are all models with has_many from parent and the child has
belongs_to. They also all have dependent => :destroy

Hold the phone!
Just a little pun there!
I've been mostly lurking for a couple of weeks and realize how little I
know and understand about this PBX and phone stuff. I did a little
looking about and came across a glossary but they terms are -- for me --
kind of out of context. I'm wondering if there is (much as I hate the
term "Dummy") a "PBX for Dummy's" or similar.
I've

Terminology merging
Hello everyone,
I''ve been working on an internal best practices document that also tackled
giving proper terms to things that were at the time uncoined. But looks
like we have a bit of a merge problem as other terms have been floating
around that seem to conflict with some terms we''ve been using internally at
my organization. I''m hoping we can discuss and

Issue with asin()
Hello everyone,
I am working for a few days already on a basic algorithm, very common in
applied agronomy, that aims to determine the degree-days necessary for a
given individual to reach a given growth stade. The algorithm (and context)
is explained here: http://www.oardc.ohio-state.edu/gdd/glossary.htm , and
so I implemented my function in R as follows:

CentOS website/blog localization support for IT (italian...) language
Hi all, still again here...
I'm doing some working to start the Italian translation job (build a
glossary and share some good rules to approach translation task)
I've analyzed the wiki software (MoinMoin) and found it extremely
useful and simple
and I'm trying to get in touch with the it-translator-team of that platform.
I've two questions :
1) Can you share the usage/mostly

Hello,
I was discussing on the mplayer/mencoder ML about transcodingfrom Divx
to Theora. I got these kind of answers:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.mencoder.user/280
Of course I understoud only 50% of what he said, as well as I am not
really used with codec and video glossary...
But I generally understoud his opinion. What to think? I would like not
to believe him, espacially when

[RFC] Documentation: nouveau: Introduce some nouveau documentation
Other gpu drivers have some driver-specific documentation, so it would
nice if nouveau did as well.
This adds a bare-bones ReStructured Text document with sections for
module parameter documentation, an overview of the driver architecture,
a section for internal API documentation, and a glossary for
nouveau-specific terms.
To make the document a little less bare, I've included docblocks for

Definition of "anchored" and "unanchored" probes
Referring to the DTrace manual:
"Module If this probe corresponds to a specific program location,
the name of the module in which the probe is located. This name is
either the name of a kernel module or the name of a user library.
Function If this probe corresponds to a specific program location,
the name of the program function in which the probe is located."

Is there any way I can deploy cPanel web hosting control panel with Microsoft Exchange 2016 groupware behind one static public IP?
Dear Richard Grainger,
I am grateful for your reply and guidance.
After reading the following article at nginx.com, I realize that I should use a reverse proxy instead of a load balancer.

Outline For Asterisk Book - Please Review & Comment
Asterisk Users
In an attempt to help Asterisk move forward, a number of us have decided
to create a book. It would initially be released as an "ebook" that
could be sent to newbies to help them up the rather steep learning
curve. Ultimately I would like to see it published and sold in
bookstores (preferably by O'Reilly & Co.).
Below is the outline for the book. We REALLY

[ANNOUNCE] libX11 1.4.0

After 3 release candidates, it's finally done - libX11 1.4 is released.
As previously warned, libX11 1.4 *requires* libxcb. The Xlib 1.3 branch
continues to support the --without-xcb option for the benefit of any
remaining distributors who do not yet ship XCB in their stable releases.
Changes since the last release candidate:

explicit class dependencies
Do explicit class dependencies work?
This simple example fails with:
Could not find resource ''Class[Config]'' for relationship on ''Class[Uses_config]''
class config {
}
class uses_config {
Class[''config''] -> Class[''uses_config'']
}
include uses_config
Am I doing something?
Thanks,
Christian
