Muliple SQL statements / Return percentage of rows
...e) / COUNT(*) average_value
FROM deals
ORDER BY deals.value
Now say that returns the sum of 100 deals, what I actually need to do is
return the count & sum of rows 10-90 (i.e. the top & bottom 10% rows
removed)
I found this which I can adapt but it requires two sql statements

And this helpful article explains how to execute multiple statements in
rails but it doesn''t seem to work with variables.

Xen domU''s and iscsi initaitor problems.
Hello, I have been using Xen now for several months and have been
quite successful until attempting to utilize iscsi within my domU''s.
My research has turned up many posts of people using iscsi with no
problems, and I have found no others with the problem I seem to be
experiencing. If this has been covered on this list in the past,
please accept my humble apologies.

Of course we do not have any plans to stop providing email any time
soon, but it might be worth thinking about what you can do to reduce
your dependency on email lists. At the current rate of degradation, it
might be non-viable quicker than you'd think. Maybe this is unduly
gloomy, but the entire internet's direction of travel has been away
from services like Mailman, and its velocity is only increasing.

Frustrated with RoR environment splintering
Why isnt the RoR community focusing on robust and scalable mod_perl style of
Apache environment, rather then splintering all over the place with
lighthttp, mongrel, WEBrick, SCGI, fcgi, etc???
Its frustrating as someone who is trying to migrate to RoR.
Its very unlikely I would ever get a contract to work on any webserver
except Apache, so it would seem logicaly to focus all our efforts to
