I am unable to load the xlldrv in wine. When I do so, it complains that it cannot find libOSMesa.so.3 which would make sense since I have not installed xlibosmesa-dev. I haven't installed it because it wants to replace my existing glide+mesa setup. ...L. This is only the case when I select the 3DfxMiniGL Driver (as I got a voodoo3). With Default opengl driver it works, but i get 4 fps. With Softwaremode I get 15fps but thats both not playable. I got the XFree tree fromd ri.sourceforge and compiled a tdfx.o my XServer loads it and i installed glide from glide.yourceforge.net and Quake3 runs without any problems ! ...i know it's kind of pointless to get Deus Ex running in wine now thnx to loki (j/k), but if you have shelled out $$ for Deus Ex winblows version, now you can run it in wine. I got Deus Ex running yesterday with TransGaming's (www.transgaming.com) version of wine. I ran it in both OpenGL and Glide mode, video runs excellent. I'm trying to compile wine but running into problems with mesa. The situation is I have a software-only version of mesa that Mandrake spewed all over /usr when I installed it and a "good" version in ~/stuff/Mesa-3.4/ that I've compiled to use glide and my voodoo2. So far I've only used this version to compile libraries that I stick into game directories as it doesn't seem to have a "make install" method or any way of installing itself to my system.
