Hi all, I bought a Sangoma A200 card from an online supplier and explained exactly what I wanted, 3 incoming phone lines to PBX and a life line (some where to connect a standard BT phone to the PBX incase the power goes, making the BT phone ring). It seems to me silly to have a T1/E1 card to connect to a channel bank when you could just have a 24/30 way FXS card in the slot in the first place. Does such a thing exist? Wouldn't Digium have a lot of customers if they could produce one for say < $1000 retail?

Being an asterisk newbie, before I suscribed to this list I just assumed that I would buy voip phones and connect all the phones to a private ethernet network. However, I see many people inquiring about FXS cards. Is there any reason why I would need to consider using analog phones and FXS cards?
