[Bug 1230] filename escaping of brackets in sftp
...e Jul 11 23:24:16 EDT
2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
- OpenSSH_4.3p2, OpenSSL 0.9.7i 14 Oct 2005
Mac OS X 10.4.7 (PowerPC)
Additional information:
- It seems to be impossible to use a filename that contains brackets
AND spaces e.g. [ez tv]
- this bug is relevant, because some guis use sftp. e.g. Fugu 1.2.0

October release

played by McColl is a copy of an 1810 German instrument.
Bach, Scarlatti and Schubert: Piano concert by Raymond Smullyan
Brahms, Variations (and Fugue) on a Theme by Handel: Remastered. The
original presentation was misleading. It was divided into 7 tracks,
mislabeled "Variations." There are actually 25 variations and a
fugue, now on one track. Performance by Martha Goldstein.

Samba and OS X 10.4.2 - vfs quota inheritance not correct
...m. This is pretty bad.
I know this is more likely to be an OS X problem than a Samba problem but
I'm asking here to see if anyone else has encountered this and knows of a
fix or workaround. Giving users unlimited quotas in their home directories
is not a good option :-) I've got them using fugu to upload for the moment
but that does not let them work on some applications.
thanks Betsy

DHCP client not working with Windows DHCP / dynamic DNS server

In this particular instance, it's a place where Windows is used for DHCP
and DNS servers. :( I have no control over the Windows side of things.
The Windows sysadmins claim I don't need a fixed IP address, because DNS

another Icecast2/Vorbis stream on-line
Connected to the stream just fine with the Winamp plugin & listened for
about 20 min. A few dropouts & 1 disconnect - but I'm on a flaky DSL circuit
this morning, so that's hardly unexpected. Winamp reported bitrates from
26-31 kb/s.
The sound quality was very decent, given the bitrate. I noted a few
artifacts in the 6-8 kHz range (cymbals & electric-guitar harmonics) on an

access to file system through web browser
Hi.
I am trying to find "something" (php prefered) that I can stick onto a
Centos apache server that would allow me to browse a selected file system
by employees through a web-browser "explorer like" interface.
I know I can do this through WinSCP (and have done so), but my problem is I have
Linux, Windows and MAC clients and my knowledge of MAC's is rather limited.

Review of Ruby For Rails Chapter 3
...", everything becomes much clearer and
easier.
I often compare this to the fact that writing free verse is extraordinarily
easy, so there''s a lot of it and most of it is appallingly bad. On the
other hand, too many conventions can be overly constricting - even computers
can write fugues, and only they would bother doing so any more.
The author uses the example of YAML to illustrate that Rails feels like its
configuration rather than programming. I wondered about that myself - why
introduce a completely separate technology in the midst of Rails? The
answer apparently comes...

transition to ip6
I imagine some day in the near future there will be a switch to ipv6.
I cannot imagine ever remembering the ip address then...crazy.
My question, since i have never done ip6 stuff, is what does that mean
on my webservers?
Would I just need to replace my ip4 with ip6 in my eths, bonds, bridges,
and configuration files...and copy out my iptables to ip6tables, and
change the dns servers?

School cloud solution
This really isn't a CentOS specific queation but that is our server OS of choice.
I manage a student file server and i would like to add cloud access to it. Basically i would like our students to have access to the same files at home that they have at school. This would allow them to start an asignment at home, finish it at school, and print it off without having to worry about losing their

Vorbis stream up now
Greetings:
If you're using the latest XMMS (CVS preferably), FreeAmp, Sonique
(?), or ogg123 (maybe), please check out this URL for a Vorbis playlist
stream:
http://64.108.112.34:8000/shouter.ogg
The playlist is lengthy, and I've set it to repeat three times, so it
will be on-line for a while. Please let me know how well or badly the
stream was received, thanks.
