problem with step-Function
Dear R-community The following loops produce the error message: Error in round(x, digits) : Non-numeric argument to mathematical function after performing the outer loop 6 times Splus can execute these loops but is very much slower than R . Interestingly, if the scale-argument in the step-function is omitted R performes these loops a few times more. What could be the reason for that error? Any

...Linux systems with Winbind authenticating from Samba AD and Windows systems authenticating via Samba AD. ? I saw a message from Louis almost a year ago with some links, but as far as I can tell, not specifically tied to Samba AD (unless I misunderstood).? Rowland - you also mentioned the "freis-franken.org" link, but that doesn't exist anymore.? I'm not looking for LDAP-based proxy type solutions.? I'm looking for something that ties directly into winbind PAM module on Linux and on Windows.? I know if it's doable, someone is doing it.? :) Thoughts? Thanks, Jason...

samba login with U2F token
Dear all, I did try to google search the archives [1] but cannot find any information on this. Would it be possible to somehow implement a passwordless (or as a 2FA) to login to a remote samba (linux server)? Any suggestions greatly appreciated, Greg 1. https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/

OggYUV
In response to (and with the help of) John Koleszar I put together an early draft of OggYUV.. or rather, a list of header fields for it. http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/OggYUV Feedback (on list or on wiki) is most certainly solicited, especially on the chroma subsampling list (how many different sampling methods do we need to reasonably support?) and if we've missed any fields to date.

SSH / PAM Problem

dialplan execution stops after ReceiveFax
Hello, I have a noticed strange behavior in Asterisk 1.6.18.2 with ReceiveFax Digium FAX Driver: 1.6.2.0_1.3.0 (optimized for i686_32). I use a context [capi-in] for icoming ISDN calls: ====== [capi-in] ; Faxe fuer Ruben exten => 12345,1,Macro(faxin,ruben.roegels at jumping-frog.org,${EXTEN}) ====== My macro for the fax receiving looks like that: ====== [macro-faxin] ; Faxe ; ARG1 =

wiki & our community
I've noticed many people manually entering .. [[User:*|*]] on the talk pages to sign their contributions.. Just a friendly note that "--~~~~" is shorthand for your signature w/ timestamp. I just recently learned that, myself. In addition, I'd like to say how awesome our little community of hackers have been oven the past week. IRC, email, the lists, and the wiki have

OggPCM version / header finalization
I have OggPCM (as currently defined) support implemented in mencoder and mplayer. I'd like to request that we settle on modifications to this header by the middle of next week or freeze the current header as the official major version 1.0, so I can get the patches cleaned up and released. We will be shipping a separate product based on this work in the near-term future, and compatability

Need advice - one large application or many small ones?
I have about 20 relatively small applications running on the server. They mostly access the same database tables. Is it more efficient to combine them into a single application with lots of controllers or to keep them as separate applications. ruby 1.9.2 rails 3.0.1 capistrano 2.9.0 passenger 3.0.4 apache 2.2.12 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups

OggPCM (uncompressed Ogg audio)
Hi Arc, illi, I think it would be advantageous if we take the emotion out of this discussion , so let's just argue technically. My experience with xiph is that we are a very friendly community and trying to help each other and listen, so let's keep that culture up. I think we all agree: it is a good idea to have an media mapping for ogg for uncompressed PCM. As for what is required in a

Sorry peeps on list.. Due to wanting to keep the number of lists on westfish limited, and at Ralph's recommendation, we'll be using ogg-dev to talk re: IceShare. I guess we'll break it onto a seperate list when it gets too active to keep it here, but for now, there's alot of crossover. -- The recognition of individual possibility, to allow each to be what she and he can be,

work on OggFile/OggStream
I've rehashed the model for the libogg2 convience library, seperating it into two libraries in the effort to allow 3rd party media frameworks to more directly utilize the functions provided by OggFile, while still providing VorbisFile-like convience for the most common uses of Ogg encoders/decoders. In this new model, liboggstream provides the functionality of "codec plugins",
