register with outbound proxy from behind nat for freeworlddialup etc.
...g. If not, would it be possible to integrate it into asterisk? I don't konw how to program so I'm really sorry I can't do it myself. But maybe some of you more skilled programmers can make this possible ;-). I think the possibilities would be great. There are more and more services like freeworlddialup (http://www.pulver.com/fwd/index.html) that could help voip to break trough for private users and I'd just hate not to be able to participate just because I'm behind a nat and using asterisk when other people with a regular sip client don't have this problem from behind a nat. If anybo...

Can be called on FreeWorldDialup/IAX channel, but can't make calls
Hi, I have an FWD account and it's configured in asterisk. I can be called by people using FWD, but I cannot make FWD calls myself. Every number dialed with a 8 prefix goes to FWD, if for example I call the echo servie I get this: Connected to Asterisk 1.2.13 currently running on asterisk (pid = 2865) Verbosity is at least 35 -- Executing SetCallerID("SIP/timothy-08224f08",

Asterisk & SIP
...is NAT'd. My internal IPs for both XP & Linux are of the 192.168.x.x private network variety. I have the Xten X-Lite softphone on XP to test with. (I also have another called SJPhone, but haven't done much with that past installing it.) I've configured a number for that through freeworlddialup.com. X-Lite appears to be working fine. At least I can dial their echo & test numbers without a problem and get the expected responses. So the questions: 1. A general "will this work?" (vmware linux, same pc as phone, NAT'd addresses, etc) 2. Has anyone done it this way before...

Asterisk Initial Set-up - 'Registration Refused' at FWD
...ve spent a number of hours trawling the forums without resolving the problem, and hence this post. I have just started to dabble with Asterisk, as much for the learning than anything else. I created an account on FWD and used the Asterisk settings that the FWD web site recommends at http://www.freeworlddialup.com/help/?p=knowledgebase&c=18&a=76. I started the Asterisk server, and after the set of start-up messages, I see... FWD and IAX2
Hi, I had a FWD account set up with asterisk (using SIP) and it was working fine both ways. I switched to IAX2 and now I can't get incoming calls from FWD. People who call my FWD number get a "480 - user is not online" message without any traffic reaching my box. I can call FWD numbers fine over IAX2. It seems fwd isn't trying to place the call over IAX2 because it thinks

False Hangups on Asterisk
...roblem is that on occasionally, after talking for about 20 minutes or so, the call gets hung up and I get a fast paced busy signal. The caller gets dead air. So far this has happened on incoming calls to either the Comcast Line, the Vonage Line and it just happened while makine and 800 call on Freeworlddialup. The problem occurs on both lines for incoming calls and it just happened again today on an outgoing call after 15 minutes of talk. I have tried busydetect=no and yes and neither one make a difference. suggestions? /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf busydetect=yes busycount=10 -- Ruben Fagundo NPV C...

MOS Scores and LCR
Is there any tool that can do LCR for Asterisk but also take into account MOS scores? Is it possible to automatically generate MOS scores on random "calls" so as to keep an updated database on a per provider, per destination, per time-of-day score? Hopefully, with that information we can create a better LCR module or script? Thanks, Daniel

Using IAXTel to dial FWD
Hi All, Is this working for any of you? We're supposed to be able to dial FWD accounts through IAXTel by dialing 170099+FWD number. I don't ever seem to be able to do this even though I can dial 800 numbers through IAXTel. Michael -- Michael Graves mgraves@pixelpower.com Sr. Product Specialist www.pixelpower.com Pixel Power Inc.
