AGI - Freakin Lost
Ok, I have spent that past 4 - 5hrs working (trying to) figure some AGI syntax out in perl. Maybe I'm Looney / slow or what I don't know, but I am lost. I need to figure out how to send STDIN into the script. I understand the concept of it, but lost when it comes down to it. No matter what I try with standard <stdin> The app completes on me before I can ever enter in keys. I

Multiple extensions - same context
Hey Everyone; I inherited an Asterisk box where the dialplan is a real mess. ( I would actually be embarrassed to post some of the stuff!) So, here is what I need to do - and again, I am looking for fishing nets and places to cast them - if I don't figure it out, I will never freakin' learn! I have several users configured (101, 102, 105, 155, 211, etc). They are all in different contexts. I don't want to mess up what is already there, I just want to make sure that they are all able to dial each other. I would assume that they would all have to be in the same contex...

Wine not working, Slackware 10.2
Clean install of Slackware 10.2. Wine 0.9.20. Downloaded slackware package. Installed with KPackage via KDE, no errors. I have several Windows apps that I used under Wine with Slackware 10.0. I right click on executable, select Wine Windows Emulator, I can see in the process table Wineserver, wine-preloader, and wineprefixcreator(?). Then they all go away, and nothing happens. It doesn't

Code from famous RoR video?
Does anyone know where I could get text file with the code from the famous video where they create a Weblog in 15 minutes -- The one that''s here: href="http://rubyonrails.com/screencasts? (I can''t just watch it here at work, and I''d like to avoid having to re-type everything in any case.) Thanks! -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Actual complaining: nixspam
John accused me of complaining about systemd... this here's *real* complaining. Several times every month, my email starts getting bounced by freakin' nixspam, because my giant hosting provider, that hosts millions of domains. Akemi has argued that nixspam works just fine (if so, then why did we get that spam a few weeks ago?). I've politely requested being put on a whitelist, and been politely ignored. I'd also be very surprised if...

Win2k, rsync, and ssh on cygwin
.... ssh hogs up 99.9% of the CPU (on box A, the "sender"), a profiler shows not much in the way of actual traffic going out of box A, box B remains mostly idle, occasionally getting something from rsync. Any pointers on where I can find the solution to this problem? (Aside from sticking a freakin' Debian box in between the Win2k boxes because they can both talk to a 3rd Debian box I have access to for testing, but isn't really an option for daily usage.) Thanks, SarahB

sip show channelstats reliable?
...sterisk shows a LOT. For example, if I point traffic to the main physical gateway I get loss to a particular customer's IP (their PBX), if I move it to another place on the network (as a VM) their IP is good and other customers IP's start showing loss using the channelstats info. Driving me freakin' crazy. It does appear there are network issues causing my troubles but I can't get help if I can't point to some hard and fast issues outside of Asterisk. The only thing I have right now is collissions showing on one of a few of our pfSense devices but they are virtual running on XenSe...

CentOS 7, systemd, NetworkMangler, oh, my
..., etc. Used a VCR or > Cassette Player lately? I have no intention of *ever* getting an annoyaphone - I'm online all day at work, before I go to work, and most evenings, in front of a *real* computer. My cell's a flipphone, and I *LOATHE* texts... because the protocol was developed for freakin' pagers, and after a job 20 years ago, I don't EVER want that again. And my land line phone has *much* better voice quality than any cell/mobile.* And yes, I very happily have my VCR, for all the tapes I have, and a good dual cassette deck (OK, I do want to burn them to disk... along with...

How to set macaddr with nmcli
I see my problem.? I mis-read what nmcli con mod eth0 mac "02:67:15:00:81:0B" does.? It sets HWADDR; which interface to link to, not MACADDR, what MAC address you want for your interface. So I have read the nmcli pages and googled a bit.? I cannot find a way to set MACADDR.? I suppose I can set HWADDR then use sed to change it to MACADDR, but this seems a real hack. ARM boards do

Samba User Nightmare
...ng, I got another call sayin that a few people were having problems getting logged in with their usernames, so figured what a better time to come in and troubleshoot to see what's different about the former employee's account. When I got here, samba was dropping connections and people were freakin out because they didn't have the network resources that they needed. I quickly had them all switch over to the old server so that solved that problem. But I still have the problem of samba not working. It only wants to work for the former employee and no one else. I tried adding my old usern...

...a bug filters into that system: a middle layer breaks for no reason that any user who isn't a developer of one of those layers could be expected to understand. He can't fix it without wasting hours of his own time. He does't know how to get around it. The build just broke. "too freakin' bad". I, personally, just want to correct a freakin' line of code. Instead I'll be debugging other peoples' software tonight after wasting another 50M of disk space on tools I otherwise couldn't care less about. ...and while I'm at it, I'll be removing the doc b...

libvorbis compile failure
The latest CVS update of libvorbis fails to compile on SuSE Linux 6.4. The error is below. Also, what happened to the xmms plugin directory in cvs? It complains that it is missing when I do a 'cvs update'. gcc -DPACKAGE=\"libvorbis\" -DVERSION=\"1.0beta3\" -DHAVE_ALLOCA_H=1 -DHAVE_ ALLOCA=1 -I. -I. -I../include -O20 -ffast-math -mno-ieee-fp -D_REENTRANT -fs

MySQL GUI for OS X
G''day everyone, I''ve got Rails up and running, but am having trouble finding a stable MySQL client for OSX. I was looking at the ''Creating a weblog in 15 minutes'' screencast from rubyonrails.org - what MySQL client is David using? I''ve found the MySQL clients (Administrator / Query Browser) to be highly unstable and rather pathetic under OSX. If
