Sick and wrong!
Karanbir, No one should ever have to go through that. I am sorry to hear that someone has done that evil deed to you. May they be forgiven, but know the pain that they have caused you and repent of their sins. And if there's something I can do to help, please let me know. ******************************************************************************* Gilbert Sebenste ********...

At least, the followings are also needed. 1. Change off_t to something else. off_t can lead to ABI

[RFC] Supporting ARM's SVE in LLVM

Right, but this is a "constant", and LLVM would be forgiven by asking the "size" of it. With that proposal, there's no way to know if that's a <16 x i8> or <16 x i32>. The vectorizer concerns itself mostly with number of elements, not raw sizes, but these types will survive the whole process, especially if they come from intri...

...ther Fortran compilers as well, just that by sheer luck this has worked mostly so far (that is, other Fortran compilers also expect a hidden string length argument, with no exception for length==1 strings). But with increasingly sophisticated interprocedural optimizations such sins can no longer be forgiven. -- Janne Blomqvist

samba 3.0.22 default ACL issue
Hi, I use samba 3.0.22 as PDC on Debian with workstations under windows XP SP1 and SP2. I use ACLs to have a fine grained access rules. When I copy a directory from a client to a samba share, default ACLs are forgiven. exemple : after I copy the directory A on the samba share : getfacl A/ # file: A/ # owner: user1 # group: sambausers user::rwx group::--- other::--- default:user::rwx default:group::--- default:other::--- But the parent directory has default ACLs, I can prove it : getfacl . # file: . # owner: use...

Nothing against you code, that's ugly ..but as it is a first step it can be forgiven :-) I will just force flac to be built with 64 bit file offsets and just reject any caller trying to include/link libflac into a non-lfs program like http://ac-archive.sourceforge.net/largefile/off_t_headers.html Then we can fix all the internal problems, without the need of typedef'ing a...

Password encryption [Was: Help]
...onship between the newsgroup and the mailing list, samba@samba.org? Is there an automatic forward in either way? Which is the better place to post Samba specific questions (I'd expect the newsgroup to be more general in scope, covering eg. the Windows implementations of SMB). I hope I can be forgiven for posting in both places this one time. Best, -- Ian Zimmerman Lightbinders, Inc. 2325 3rd Street #324, San Francisco, California 94107

Comparison of linear models
Good afternoon, I am a master student. I am currently doing an internship. I would like to get some advices about the following issue: I have 2 data sets, both containing the same variables, but the data were measured using two different procedures. I want to know if the two procedures are equivalent. Up to know, I have built one linear model for each dataset. The two models have the same

[RFC] Usage of NDEBUG as a guard for non-assert debug code
Hi all, During discussions about assertions in the Flang project, we noticed that there are a lot of cases in LLVM that #ifndef NDEBUG is used as a guard for non-assert code that we want enabled in debug builds. This works fine on its own, however it affects the behaviour of LLVM_ENABLE_ASSERTIONS; since NDEBUG controls whether assertions are enabled or not, a lot of debug code gets enabled in

Assistance with doveadm backup...
Not really. The suggestions in the post seemed to be: 1. Tar the whole directory, which I have tried in the past, but a 130G directory takes over 18 hours to tar. 2. It was also suggested to rsync the directory, but the question was brought up, and not answered, about whether it was advisable to copy live mail, thus the need for doveadm sync/backup. Based on what I?ve read about doveadm backup,

nameserver issue
Hi all! This question is, at best, somewhat peripheral to Centos, but I'm hoping to be forgiven, and that someone here can give me a clue. I've just brought up a nameserver on my household LAN, bind9 on a Raspberry Pi. The connection with Centos is this: my main desktop is C7, and its hardwired network is also manual, not dhcp. I've edited the ipv4 config (in NM) and changed the DNS...

pvhvm on debian
hello, I know this not quite a xen problem but im sure a fair number of people are using debian for their dom0 and maybe have some insight into this. I have a large number of dom0''s running squeeze and for a long time i was hoping for pvhvm to make into the official debian xen packages and recently during some periodic updates I noticed pvhvm working after a kernel package update. Now

[LLVMdev] Propose change gnuplot options for small picture versions
In current state dates at small version of pictures generated by night builder script is unreadable ( for example http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/testresults/X86/running_loc.png ). I suggest rotate it to vertical position in small picture versions. .png file created modified gnuplot script (for comparing) and patch attached. "set xlabel 0,-1 " added for solving xlabel and xtics text overlap

roadmap & development
Hi there, I'm very interested in oVirt as a management interface for a VM setup we're building, however it seems as though there isn't much info on the product roadmap or active development. I'm wondering if anyone could point me to more information on the roadmap or commit activity on the project? Regards, Anthony -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was
