mailbox deletion is not replicated correctly
i can't delete several folders at once. I have a folder structure like folder1/folder2/folder3 (we use slash as hierarchy separator). dovecot 1.2.11/ thunderbird 3.1 - moving folders
...thunderbird which i can confirm. Following setup on my side: dovecot 1.2.11 with mbox. Thunderbird 3.1 with ready mailaccount and "Server supports folders that contain sub-folders and messages" is disabled. i create folder1 for subfolders and in folder1 a folder2 for mails. Now i create folder3 on toplevel like just like folder1 for subfolders. Now i drag/dop folder2 to folder3. Thunderbird is moving this folder successful but in folder1/.imap i can still see a folder folder2 which is containing a dovecot.index.log At this point thunderbird shows error-message when i start to delete folde...

problem with convert-tool: "Invalid mailbox name"
Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with convert-tool while trying to convert mbox folders to maildir. I'm running dovecot-1.1.16 on Centos 5.3 If the user has subfolders, convert-tool fails saying: "Mailbox conversion: Couldn't create mailbox sub/folder3: Invalid mailbox name" However, if I ran the convert-tool with the same arguments and same folders with dovecot 1.1.11 on Ubuntu 9.04 it works fine. Any pointers for troubleshooting this? Thanks in advance, Ezequiel

DO NOT REPLY [Bug 4803] New: link-dest folder is not validated
...ac.com QAContact: rsync-qa@samba.org While I get error messages if the Source or Destination is invalid, I don't get one for an invalid --link-dest . Sub-Sub-Subfolders not shown after converting from maildir to mdbox
...nderbird and SeaMonkey don?t show folders that are subfolders of subfolders. Have a look at the filesystem: discovery:/var/mail/domain.tld/patrick/mdbox/mailboxes/Folder1/Folder2# ls -l insgesamt 8 drwx------ 2 vmail vmail 4096 5. Sep 23:42 dbox-Mails drwx------ 3 vmail vmail 4096 5. Sep 23:42 Folder3 Using Thunderbird or Seamonkey, Folder1 and Folder2 are listed and can be subscribed to but Folder3 never gets listed. If I create Folder4 as a new subfolder from Folder2 it works, so the problem only exists with existing folders from converted maildirs. I had to use a namespace for the convert f...

Sporadic Copying XP/2000
...setup a basic Linux Workgroup via SAMBA. Everything is working fine except for the following: I just replaced a Windows 2003 Storage Server with CentOS 5.1. When my users start copying TIF images from the now CentOS 5.1 server, XP copies the images sporadically. For example: folder1, folder2, folder3, folder4; each folder has 5 sub-folders in it numbered sequentially (00000, 00001, 00002, etc.); each sub-folder has 100 images in it. When from an XP box, a user highlights folder1 and pastes it to their local drive the copying of the sub-folders and the images is sporadic. For example: first...
