Disconnect supervision question
I'm trying to use Asterisk as a voice mail system and all is going well
except for one issue. When the outside caller drops the connection
Asterisk doesn't sense it. It keeps the line open for about 2 minutes
before dropping it. The FXO is attached to a key system (hybrid PBX).
There was a home-type digital answering machine previously on the same
extension and it was able to sense

Windows password changing and syncing
I thought I was doing well with samba. I have numerous samba / gnu-Linux
networks running well. Now I have one customer that wants to do something
that I cannot get the software to do. All he wants to do is have his users
change their passwords from the Windows passwords control panel. It seems
like such a simple request but I cannot for the life of me get it to work on
my test network.

OGG stream drops after every couple/few tracks
...AFAIK)
In ffmp3, when the stream breaks/stops playing (after 1-4 songs, always
at the beginning of the next track) I get the following error repeated
across the flash player graphic:
"demuxer.hx:127 unexpected error"
Federico, the developer of ffmp3, told me that it's a part of the FOGG

from a playlist/autoDJ to live and back). Audacious doesn't experience
this issue and ha...

Hotel Setup?
I am working with a small inn (under 50 rooms) that is next to a ski
resort. The inn just had Cat5e Homeruns to each room installed, with a
patch panel in the basement. Now it's my job to connect each of the
those rooms to the Internet. I think I have a Cisco switch that I can
do Private VLANS with, however I thought of another solution.
Has anybody seen or does anybody know of a VoIP
