Re: Cannon Fodder 3
Hey there...
I can install and run the game on ubuntu 11.10.
Try using PlayOnLinux to guide you through the instalation process. It's easyer that way.
Also install winetricks since you're going to need the DirectX, vcredist 2005 at least.
Also if you have an NVIDIA card, install the NVIDIA drivers instead of the proprietary ones.
Good luck

OK.
I wonder if we might be able to automate the stabilization somewhat.
I'm not at all sure this can be done without introducing worse
problems that it solves, but here's some discussion fodder:
Have the buildbots (or, probably better, one Master Buildbot) do auto-
reversion when they see a new failure. They would need to be able to
detect bogus failures, such as temporary inability to connect to the
svn server.
Have checkins go to a branch, and have the buildbots automove them...

[LLVMdev] please stabilize the trunk
We've had a lot of churn in all the trunks (llvm, llvm-gcc, clang)
recently, and the testing buildbots have been failing repeatedly.
I spoke with Chris this AM, and he suggested we have a "stabilization
day." Please avoid large, destabilizing changes for about twenty-four
hours. We would like for the testing bots to begin working again.
Thanks,

This is the summary of actions:
. Advice to the team to follow on issue djr-02, clarifying the rationale
for -p vs -a.
. TCR - Add a format specifier (e.g. -F gnuplot) to show-usage
. Two spec updates:
- EOF of the VLAN PPA hack removal
- Clarify mac_intr_t
. Opinion fodder about the extensibility of the attributes, to add
future support

Bryan... NOBODY CARES how many times Chris is wrong.
NOBODY CARES what you prove on this point.
Whether Chris is right, wrong or stoopid is NOT proper fodder for this (CENTOS) list.
Chris being wrong is *strictly* a "Bryan Fixation".
Part of YOU growing up is YOU realizing that whether Chris is or is not
wrong is UNIMPORTANT to ANYTHING that you or anybody important
to you think is important.

Who is going to AstriCon (The Asterisk Conference)?
...'m taking a straw-poll to see who out there is planning on going to
AstriCon. I would like to hear from both new members of the community
and gurus. What kinds of things would you like to see at an Asterisk
Conference? What topics are good BOF (Birds Of a Feather - informal
discussion group) fodder? What parts of Asterisk require the most
attention?
FYI - AstriCon is October 12 - 14 in Anaheim. For more information on
what we currently have planned, see the web site (listed below).
Thanks,
Steve

Asterisk feature list: spreadsheet
...Cisco 7960 phones, so some of the
features which are really deskset options I listed as "S"tandard if I
were to use 7960 devices. Caveat emptor for other desksets.
This is not truly a "comparison", since there are no other columns in
the spreadsheet. However, it's good fodder for you to whack your
VoIP or PBX vendor on the nose with, since they typically will not be
able to match the feature list.
Olle: feel free to add to the Wiki, since you asked for this type of list.

acts_as_whatever
Hi there,
I love the acts_as_* family that rails uses. I''ve also found I can
create something similar by dropping the following code into my
activerecord classes:
class MyClass < ActiveRecord::Base
class << self
alias_method :count_with_unapproved, :count
end
def self.find(*args)
options = extract_options_from_args!(args)
if options[:conditions].nil?
options[:conditions] =

Its not just arrogant, its silly, and you have a serious branding
problem. If you really have "The Answer" you should work on getting
yourself a domain name at least. Cease the panic-inducing posts and
come up with some reasonable fodder you could link to in your signature
or something (like when you help with some thread), so you would at
least contribute to the list at the same time.
Some of us may actually be interested in what you have to offer if you
changed the way you were presenting it. Who is going to base their

OT Spammer Mark Kabore on this list
Hi folks,
A spammer is getting email addresses from the mailing list and sending people an email saying he needs help. This is the classic advance free fraud.
This is what he says in broken english - "I need your urgently assistance in transferring the sum of $39.5)million to your account. This fund belongs to our decease costumer who died along with his Family in air crash. Contacts me for

zapbarge w/o the mute
I've got a couple of different situations where I'd like to do something
like zapbarge into a specific channel but I'd like to be able to
actually talk to the party or parties on the channels, not just listen
like w/ zapbarge.
There are two scenarios I can think of right now where it'd be very handy.
a) when the outside line is ringing and Asterisk is waiting to

Seeking to granules in discontinuous streams

sent again. If the
max lifetime is long enough, the extra bandwidth would be negligible
(only needed for
those very long events). This would have to be balanced against the
bits we take off
that backlink (low bits for precision, high bits for lifetime).
And we get those bits back as granulespace fodder.
Am I missing something here that would make this unworkable or breaking spec ?
Thanks

quick help needed: split a number and "find and replace" type of function that works like in MS excel
Hi R experts
I have a couple of quick question:
Q1
#my data
set.seed(12341)
SN <- 1:100
pool<- c(12,13,14, 23, 24, 34)
CT1<- sample(pool, 100, replace= TRUE)
set.seed(1242)
CT2 <- sample(pool, 100, replace= TRUE)
set.seed(142)
CT3 <- sample(pool, 100, replace= TRUE)
# the number of variables run to end of coulmn 20000
mydf <- data.frame(SN, CT1, CT2, CT3)

Unexpected behaviour of apply()
Hello everyone,
Considering the following code sample :
----
indexes <- function(vec) {
vec <- which(vec==TRUE)
return(vec)
}
mat <- matrix(FALSE, nrow=10, ncol=10)
mat[1,3] <- mat[3,1] <- TRUE
----
Issuing apply(mat, 1, indexes) returns a 10-cell list, as expected.
Now if I do:
----
mat[1,3] <- mat[3,1] <- FALSE
apply(mat, 1, indexes)
----
I would expect a

Seeking to granules in discontinuous streams
Hi,
sorry, there is a bug in the CMML spec and wiki page ... I discussed
this with Silvia earlier this week but haven't gotten around to
correcting it yet.
CMML granulepos is much like theora's; the previous granule is stored
in the higher bits, and the delta since then is stored in the lower
bits. The current timestamp is the sum of the two. This is the
behavior of the implementations
