Hi list, as I know from the README in the source files OCFS2 does not support cluster aware flock. Our web developers have to use the php flock() function. There is a second method how php can handle locking - via the fnctl() function. Will this be supportet? I assume that OCFS2 supports the c-function open() mit O_CREATE as well as O_EXCL. Am I right? With mdbox and maildir format I could reliably crash my mail storage just by delivering mails to the both dovecots via LMTP to the same user. In maildir dovecot seems not the set / respect the fnctl locks of the index file. dotlocks do not seems to work either with mdbox. So I think the only solution os to use a director in a real world setup. Or is there any non-obvious trick that I did not check? Hi all, tracing a couple of reports here (on a somewhat older version of OCFS2, with a user-space/pacemaker/dlm_controld.pcmk stack) where we see fnctl(F_SETLK) return ENOSYS. This happens after a node has failed/been fenced and recovered. It affects only individual mounts, not the whole system.
