This is a feature request, if nothing else, it documents the issue. The web is
full with questions about forwarding a local port to a different host using
iptables, with or without the DNAT target. Forwarding to a different host is
well supported by netfilter/iptables...

forcing the driver to issue a different command on shutdown
It seems that the UPS I wrote in my previous mail uses the Megatec
protocol, but does not support the S<n>R<m> "Shut Down and Restore"
Command. This means that the server will shut down cleanly, but it will
not boot automatically when the utility power comes back. There is
another shutdown command according to the protocol description, although

nutdrv_qx does not support UPS, blazer_ups does
Hello All,
I tested our new UPS yesterday. I noticed that while the blazer_ups
drivers support this device, the newer nutdrv_qx does not. I suppose
that this should not be the case, as nutdrv_qx will replace blazer_ups(?).
Versions:
I installed Nut on Ubuntu 13.10 (64 bit) from the standard package
(2.6.4-2.3ubuntu2), and I also installed from the source tarball
(2.7.1), into a different
