The only reliable way (lacking S4U2SELF support) to get group membership
for an AD user, is using the group list the DC passes along to us as
part of the authentication process.
We're trying extra hard to store this data *persistently* in the
SAM-logon cache and not in an easily user flushable cache.

Fix typo: ordered and writeback data modes were working the wrong way
around.
Rework the dirty buffer handling: dirty flags are now held in a
private
flag while buffers are journaled, so the block device mid-layers see
those buffers as clean and non-flushable.
Fix some truncate recovery problems: not all filesystem state was
being
flushed in large truncates when we had to split the truncate over
multiple transactions, so the on-disk inode might be slightly
inconsistent after a crash.
Clear the dirty bits when forgetting buffers (prevents aborted
trunc...

Group memberships on Linux AD Member (syncing randomly)
Hi,
I'm running Samba Active Directory 4.16.9 with packages from Sernet.
Domain members are Linux servers (Ubuntu 20.04, RHEL 8) with Sernet
Samba 4.16.x.
I'm getting crazy with group memberships syncing from AD to Linux
members. It is completely random as when changes in AD group are visible
in Linux OS (or more precise: winbind), it might take minutes, hours or
days as when these

Slow death-spiral with zfs gzip-9 compression
I am [trying to] perform a test prior to moving my data to solaris and zfs. Things are going very poorly. Please suggest what I might do to understand what is going on, report a meaningful bug report, fix it, whatever!
Both to learn what the compression could be, and to induce a heavy load to expose issues, I am running with compress=gzip-9.
