DNAT PPTP questions
I have two/three PPTP servers on my network and each one of them are on their own subnet and I want to be able to send traffic to each and everyone. My rules file entry is as follows DNAT net loc:1.1.1.1 tcp 1723 DNAT net loc:1.1.1.1 47 and DNAT net loc:2.2.2.2 tcp 1723 DNAT net loc:2.2.2.2 47 however all the traffic only goes to 1.1.1.1 because its the first DNAT entry. I tried the

But it sounds like you've augmented LLVM so that bitwise-identical pointer values are not considered equal if they come from different allocations. In that case, I don't

Error with grad() for numerical differential of a function
Hello everyone, I have programmed a function and, among other things, it has to compute the differential of a function. I have been using the function grad() and I have programmed some simulated studies. I have testes with 72,576 different combinations of the initial values and now I got an error in only 4 situations. The error comes from the function grad() and I don't understand why. This

The case for freezing CRAN
This has been a fascinating discussion. Carl Boettinger replied with a set of examples where the world is much more fragile than my examples. That was useful. It seems that people in my area (medical research and survival) are more careful with their packages (whew!). Gabor Csardi discussed the problems with maintaining a package with lots of dependencies. I maintain the survival package

Proposal: An extension to rules all others
Proposal: An extension to rules all others Copyright Notice None. Public Domain. Abstract Extension flamewars surrounding media formats inside Ogg containers are a pain in the behind, cause problems in the adoption of said formats, and confuse users. This modest proposal directed at the maintainers of Vorbis, Theora, Speex and FLAC will suggest a solution to solve these issues (and others).

Anova - adjusted or sequential sums of squares?
Hi I am performing an analysis of variance with two factors, each with two levels. I have differing numbers of observations in each of the four combinations, but all four combinations *are* present (2 of the factor combinations have 3 observations, 1 has 4 and 1 has 5) I have used both anova(aov(...)) and anova(lm(...)) in R and it gave the same result - as expected. I then plugged this into
