Hm, this kind of "incomplete fill" flicker could be due to something just not being able to keep up. But you may be in luck - nouveau may support reclocking on your GPU -- check the contents /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/pstate for the various options, and echo e.g. "0f" or "22" or whatever the desired level is listed as back...

I have a fixed height scrollable div inside another div that controls the slideDown and slideUp effects. This causes a really bad flicker in Firefox (1.0.7) for the entire duration of the slide down and up. I am new to wine and I am trying to play Jedi Knight 2 version 1.04. I have installed it fine, but when I try to play it, the screen is constantly flickering.
