is it possible to create a trellis object with multiple colorkeys/z-scale axis?
Dear R users- Do the lattice/latticeExtra packages support multiple tileplots with unique colorkeys? I am trying to create a visualization of the encounter rate of certain stocks of salmon across two years. The issue I am having is that some stocks are encountered at much higher rates than others.the high encounter rate for one stock washes out the patterns I'm hoping to visualize across the

Funky password mount point error for liveice and ic ecast - PLZ HL P!
Pete - Thanks for the hack, I've gone in an adjusted the necessary lines(Even though my C is REALLY rusty, cut and paste to the rescue), I re-compiled the source, so hopefully things will work once I get home to test. You mentioned that I shouldnt use this for a Public Production server, is there any other security measures I can take to override this exploit? I had planned on running it

Hello, w is a matrix of responses to categorical variables. So for example, let the first column of w be a dichotomous variable taking values 1 or 2. I then have an array, arr, which has the number of response categories as its first dimension. I want to use a person's response to the item to select the `row' in the first dimension of the array. tot_c(0) for (i in 1:n){

adding tick labels to tileplot()
Hi all - I am far from fluent in R and need some help polishing up a figure I am trying to create. I wish to make a "tileplot" (from package extraLattice) where the x axis is time (months; may - sept) and the y axis is space (fishery management zones). Here is my code so far: tileplot(effort~month_num*-area_num,mae,col.regions=topo.colors(100), border =

SUMMARY: EPS->LaTeX problem
Earlier today I posted a problem importing an R graph into a LaTeX file of seminar class: specifically, the graphic was showing up rotated 180 degrees, along with the rest of the page it was on. In a real victory for open-source software, I got lots of responses with three distinct approaches, each of which appears to solve the problem. Try getting fast, correct help from Microsoft on a Sunday

variable name to hist within apply?
Hello, After spending sometime trying to generate histograms of all the numeric variables in a data frame using a for loop, I realized I could use apply to create the histograms. This was one of those few moments when I `see' the alternative to looping. So, I can generate all the histograms with this command: apply(toblo.df[,-c(40,52)],2,hist) # 40 and 52 are ID's When I do this, the

Apache 2.2.3 ETag weirdness.
I'm looking to clarify this entry I found in a changelog(line 2062ish) on a CentOS 5 box for Apache 2.2.3 *) mod_include no longer allows an ETag header on 304 responses. PR 19355. [Geoffrey Young <geoff apache.org>, Andr? Malo] Loading the mod_include module prevents any ETags headers from being sent from the box. If I comment out mod_include, ETags are sent as expected.

network copy performance is poor (rsync) - debugging suggestions?
Hi, I do have two centos 6.6 servers. With a "performance optimized" rsync I get an speed of 15 - 20 MB/s The options I use are: rsync -aHAXxv --numeric-ids --progress -e "ssh -T -c arcfour -o Compression=no -x" If I copy files by smb to/from the servers I do get 60 - 80 MB/s, a dd (r/w) on the storages attached gives 90 MB/s on the 1Gbit ISCSI (Source Server) and up to

adding SAN "diskspace" to CentOS system residing on VMware
Hey, group, I've got a system installed on a VMware VM. The SAN administrator allocated me more disk space from the (EMC) SAN and I need ultimately to create another partition to mount on the filesystem. Two (initial) questions about this: What steps do I need to take prior to creating a new partition with fdisk? (The SAN space, BTW, is connected through VMware.) The OS is already

OH MAN THANK YOU!!! I have been pulling my hair trying to get this $hit to work for weeks now. What other DSPs do you recommend instead of LiveIce? Either that or when do you expect the patch to be released? Thank you so much!!! Building a newer glibc RPM for CentOS 6 and installing into an alternate path
We have a third party shared library from a vendor that requires glib 2.15 or newer. We are using CentOS 6.6 which comes with glibc 2.12, and I know it can?t be replaced as it?s an integral part of the OS. However, is it possible to build a glib 2.15 RPM from source to be installed in /opt/centos (or somewhere else other than /usr/lib) so that I can link the one application that requires the

SMBD Crash
Our software utilizes an OS X Server (Snow Leopard 10.6.8) for file read and writes. We gather files out of many directories, process them, and then write files back to the server. We had a long time end user who utilizes our software with an XP box upgrade from XP to Windows 7. Now with Windows 7 the SMBD is crashing routinely under heavy loads. Whatever information it was working
