...Is there a way in the smb.conf file to specify total anonymous read access to a share, or to the server in general? Ideally, no matter what user IIS claims to be, I want Samba to field the request and return the file (read-only, of course). Does this make sense? David P. Hi to all. Using Samba 3.0.22 on 2 identical systems (SLES 10). On the first system, Samba logs correctly AD domain name and user in the form DOMAIN+username in access.log. On the second one, it logs only the username, stripping away the domain name.
