OSX El Capitan - Fink - NUT

Question about nut-dependencies
...need the Eaton NetXML driver and its dependencies like neon, don't build it. You can change any "BuildDepends: foo" to a "BuildConflicts: foo", and remove the splitoff that packages that up (e.g. https://github.com/fink/fink-distributions/blob/master/10.9-libcxx/stable/main/finkinfo/net/nut.info#L225 ). Sometimes there are ./configure options that need to be removed as well, but usually the BuildConflicts will prevent the library from being visible to the configuration process. Similarly, low-level USB support on MacOS has been withering away for some time now. It is especial...

[LLVMdev] llvm/clang test failures on powerpc-darwin8
...ping with powerpc-darwin8-g++-4.0.1 is here: http://www.csl.cornell.edu/~fang/sw/llvm/llvm-clang-release-3.0-powerpc-darwin8-g++-4.0.1-fink-build-log.txt (append .bz2 to URL for compressed version) fink info file (for darwin8 only): http://fink.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/fink/experimental/fangism/finkinfo/llvm30.info?view=log at revision 1.9. These results have far fewer failures than svn-trunk, and are also comparable to bootstrapping with gcc-4.6.2, summarized here: http://paste.lisp.org/display/126363 (Unfortunately, I no longer have the whole build...

Setting up NUT to monitor under OS X?
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has written a guide to installing nut on Mac OS X? (or a binary package)? I have a nut install on a linux box attached to a Powerware 5115 ups, and that seems to be working ok. I also have a Mac which I would like to be able to shut down when the power is failing. I've read through the faq, and I understand how to configure client and server once the binaries

an application fails to work with wine 0.9.30
.... An application (http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=3042) which worked OK on linux (when I still had it) and which worked OK until I updated the wine with fink, fails to work now, but is pretty important for me. This shows me: http://fink.cvs.sourceforge.net/fink/dists/10.4/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11/wine.info?r1=1.3.2.3&r2=1.3.2.4 that the version change was probably: old version: 0.9.21 new version: 0.9.30 It's quite probable that I did some stupid thing in the meantime (independent of the upgrade), but I don't understand the error message, so I would be very grateful for a...

3-stage bootstrap build bots?
Do any of the current build bots for llvm.org perform 3-stage bootstraps with file comparison of the stage2 and stage3 object files and generated headers? On x86_64-apple-darwin16 using the fink projects llvm packaging methodology (crafted by David Fang), I am seeing non-deterministic file comparison failures in current trunk that goes back as far as r296837.

OSX El Capitan - Fink - NUT
Hi I use NUT on a Mac to monitor a UPS which is connected to a NAS. When the NAS reports a low battery on the UPS it broadcasts and the Mac shuts down. Or it did. I have just upgraded to OSX 10.11 El Capitan. I have successfully upgraded Fink to 0.39.1. I now wish to update the NUT package, so that I can continue using upsmon etc. However, although NUT is apparently stable for Fink under 10.11

Question about nut-dependencies
I am new to the email list and a recent fan of the NUT software. I have been deploying Windows, Ubuntu, and MacOS clients. I am dealing with very old machines, attempting to keep them running at an office where they cannot upgrade the machines due to software dependencies. I was recently trying to get a client using Mac Ports and it would not build on my target machines, MacOS 10.5 and 10.6 due

[LLVMdev] llvm/clang test failures on powerpc-darwin8
Hi, I've bootstrapped llvm/clang from svn-trunk on powerpc-darwin8 (g++-4.0.1), and have the following test results to share. Summary below, full log at: http://www.csl.cornell.edu/~fang/sw/llvm/r146586-powerpc-darwin8-results.txt The only edits required were those I posted to llvm-commits yesterday (re: "some missing clang libs"). And I also edited LitConfig.py to point to
