decision tree finetune
My decision tree grows only with one split and based on what I see in E-Miner it should split on more variables. How can I adjust splitting criteria in R? Also is there way to indicate that some variables are binary, like variable Info_G is binary so in the results would be nice to see "2) Info_G=0" instead of "2) Info_G<0.5". Thank you in advance! And thanks for Eric who

New Docs - First Look
Ok, my first complete swipe for the new docs (but still with old rdoc default output templates) can be seen at: http://www.mktec.com/dev_www/wxruby-docs/ Most of the classes/methods documentation came out fine, but I still need finetune because some methods don''t get documented at all, like methods in the classes Bitmap and Frame. Once I can get it so all things get documented

R svm prediction kernlab
Hi All, I am using ksvm method in kernlab R package for support vector machines. I learned the multiclass one-against-one svm from training data and using it to classify new datapoints. But I want to update/finetune the 'svm weights' based on some criteria and use the updated svm weights in the predict method framework. I don't know if its possible or not, how do classify new

micky mouse sound with chan_capi solved?
hi all talking to this friend if mine just now, I realised I had no 'micky mouse' sound as eaerlier with chan_capi and AVM C2. We talked in 1 hour and 18 minutes without encountering any problems whatsoever. This was him calling me, but I don't know if that's important. roy -- Roy Sigurd Karlsbakk, Datavaktmester ProntoTV AS - http://www.pronto.tv/ Tel: +47 9801 3356

ACL in Linux and AIX
Hi, As I can see in the last mailing list I am not the only one to get problems with ACL support in Linux. Whatever the samba version (2.2.4, 2.2.5) the main problem is how acl and extended attributes can be implemented fine in linux. I've installed samba on AIX systems where acl is implemented (native) and NT ACL works fine at each time (the only difficulty there is that nsswitch is not

4.2 on Raspberry Pi as AD DC - success !
...ot --- test4 - login with new user: good - msi installed: good - test fileshare settings --- logs: - get lots of errors about printer list: as expected without cups - get lots of errors binding to :::[PORT] failing --> still seems to be something up with ipv6 --- the end? further testing and finetuning will definately be required. I will try to add ntp-server, dhcp (with dynamic dns update), and radius server next (not in that order) --- what I learned which was not clear through all the documentation I found when looking around - stay clear of the "AD member server" guide, stick wi...

Wiki deuglification, last (at the moment) part
Hey, one last change maybe - with the 3% padding on top and bottom, we really lose screen estate at the top. How does it look to you without any padding at top/bottom (leaving a 10px white line there)? That's what's live on wiki-m.centos.org at the moment. Or, if all of you want to have some more space above there (and the background pattern) go with 1% padding? 1% padding means that

Monitoring Rails apps?
I just had an interesting meeting with developers from other parts of my company. One of the things they said they really liked about Java- based solutions was the availability of sys-admin tools to monitor Java (probably J2EE) applications. Nothing comes to mind in the RoR camp to cover this. I''m sure there are plenty of generic tools for watching pings and log files, but is

stable backport apt problem (solved)
Hello, I started writing this email to describe a problem, then fixed it, so I'll display my ignorance anyway in case other people have a problem with it. What happened was that I could get apt-get to upgrade the documentation packages, but not the others. What I think was the problem was some remaining r-cran-* packages that are now in r-recommended. These seemed to be blocking the

Tabulation with ENTER key
Dear all, I think this can be interesting for others too. For a while I tried to solve that problem - how to tabulate with ENTER/RETURN key too and not only with TAB. You know the problem - you are entering a lot of numbers from numeric keypad but you need to go far left to press TAB. This prevents one-hand data entry and prohibits web apps to be used by accountants, for instance. Here is a

[OT] Gentoo install help please
I''ve decided to take the plunge and go with Gentoo for my rails development and test box. I figure the easy of maintenance is worth the setup hassles. Anyway, I''m followin the instructions on the Gentoo web site. I''ve selected the ..''i686'' 2.6 kernel for my 700mhz amd processor, and choosen stage3 install option from CD. I''m now at the the
