Robbed Bit T1 Configuration
Is it possible to control the dialing format used when making a call from asterisk separately from the inbound format? In my case I have a single robbed-bit T1 configured for featd (to receive ANI and DNIS) on a TE410P. This configuration works fine for inbound calls, however when an outbound call is made on this same T1 asterisk dials outbound in the featd format. I need asterisk to only dial the phone number in the dial string (no more, no less), but as I said before aster...

Asterisk analog DID with Adit 600
...ng. I've set asterisk to use E&M in both dahdi/system.conf and chan_dahdi.conf. If I dial the port connected to the DID card it goes off hook but when the Executone winks Asterisk or the Adit thinks the remote side has hung up and terminates the call. I've tried using E&M wink, featd, and featb signalling in chan_dahdi.conf, set hanguponpolarityswitch=no, and tried loop start signalling for the heck of it and that didn't work either. Does anyone have any suggestions of additional things I could try? Thanks in advance, -Dave

Problems and questions with setting up a Feature Group D trunk to a Nortel DMS-10 switch
I currrently have Asterisk 1.2.8 with a TE110P Zaptel card tied to our Nortal DMS-10 switch via T1. This T1 trunk is configured for Feature Group D MF. The purpose of this is for LD delivery to a VoIP LD provider as a LD choice for our customers off of the DMS-10. When I sieze a channel on the zaptel, I get a spill of digits from the switch that is the called number, and I can see that in

"In general you can match callerID with the /, but if you don't put anything after the /, then the rule matches "no caller*ID", and if no slash is there at all, it matches "any callerid". Long call setup with non-PRI T1
...We have managed to get CPN and the extension outpulsed from the switch, but call setups are really slow. Our T1's are set up as E&M Wink, and they send us the last 5 digits dialed followed by the 10 digit calling party number (we couldn't get the switch to be happy with *CPN*+5* to use featd). We are using asterisk 1.4.19. Watching the DTMF debugging info, it doesn't take too terribly long to get the digits (maybe 1-1.5 seconds), but after getting the digits asterisk waits another 3 seconds before doing anything. In chan_zap.c, there is a 'matchdigittimeout' that is set...

Inbound ANI & DNIS format
Hello, Being totally fed up with the lack of quality and reliability from both VoicePulse and BroadVoice, We are switching to a direct IP connection to Global Crossing. We've installed a local point-to-point T1 into their CO, and they will give/take SIP g729a directly and act as the gateway for us. In setting up the inbound SIP service, they are asking the question, "In what format do

Adtran 750 DID question.
Hello All, I've mostly solved my DID problem from a few days ago. Apparenly the lines weren't configured properly. Now heres the next question. 12 E&M wink lines from telco. I have them all plugging into an Adtran 750 with FXS cards. The Adtran ports are configured DPO. How do I signal this from Zaptel. I have them setup E&M in zaptel.conf and EM_W in zapata.conf. They

Does Asterisk support T1 E&M Wink/Wink voicechannels on any Digium/Sangoma hardware?
I could only get *ANI*DNIS* working one way and that was setting my signalling type on the Asterisk side to 'featd' The Definity won't send *ANI*DNIS* information back to the asterisk as far as I can tell. Other than that, I've been running it with wink/wink E&M for a while now. TN464 circuit pack on the definity side, te110p on the asterisk side. Just a crossover cable between the boxes. -...

Caller ID on E&M Wink
I am an Asterisk newby, and I cannot seem to get Caller ID information from our T1 line. When calls appear at the phones, they say the call came from "asterisk" and unknown number. I know how Caller ID information is passed on an analog phone line (between the rings) but with a T1 line, I don't know technically how it is done. I don't see the caller's number in the
